Comment:

One of my favorite classes I have taken since I've attended San Jac. Need a fine arts class. I would recommend him 1000%. All test are online and there are homework assignments. But gives you plenty of time to get everything done. The project at the end of the semester is my favorite. Would take it again.

Comment:

He has been my favorite professor and favorite class. The information you learn is really interesting, and he definitely knows all about what he's teaching. His lecture are very entertaining. I would definitely take him again for another class.

This is the second class I take with this professor and again does not fail to inspire knowledge of the guitar in his students. Very patient yet as thorough as possible. If you don't practice you're going to have a hard time in this class.

By far my favorite professor and favorite class. The information you learn is really interesting, and Prof. Garcia clearly knows a lot about what he's teaching. He keeps the lecture very entertaining with music and funny videos. I wish he had another class I could take besides guitar, because he is awesome.

Very nice guy. You can really tell he has knowledge of the subject. Trys to get the class to interact with him. Doesn't care if youre running 5 min late or anything. He took attendence at the beginning but not he really doesnt. His tests are easy if you study your homework but be careful for the listening portion. Over all easy A

Amazing!!! You really get to learn how music affects history while still getting an easy A. He really know his stuff and enjoys teaching it too. I only used the text book for the homework and its word for word. I suggest taking the class in a mini session and taking notes of the random facts he says about an artist because he uses them in his test

His a real cool instructor. He knows his music. The test "Celebration of knowledge" are the easiest. Do not be expected to talk about Lady Gaga or Lil Wayne. He only talks about the history of music from the 1900's- early Rock. Which were the best time periods for music in our nation.

i absolutely loved the class. we got to listen to music of the genres that we studied. the celebration of knowledge is easy if you pay attention in class and do the terms. The teacher made the class fun and i always looked forward to going. One thing going into this class is that you have to have an open mind about music.

Don't be put off by the whiners. Mr. Garcia is a great professor and I thoroughly enjoyed his AmPop. Music class. Not only does he make the class interesting, but he genuinely makes an effort to help out his students. He's entertaining, knowledgeable, and interesting. Not your type? Than by all means, pass. Otherwise, you should enjoy his style.

2 yrs under his instuction. He studied under teachers who taught guitar legends like Manuel Barrueco, and he is a student of a student of Andres Segovia. His lessons are very clear and personal. He does his best to make sure your playing improves. If your finger position is ruining ur tone, he will spend the whole lesson fixing it. Very thorough

He is a poser.Good at impressing people who dont know a damn thing about music, but at the sanjac music dept that works for him(thats the only place it works btw).The guy is a rambler, he has very low confidence in his teaching, and he has a couple of things he has to push onto everybody to fill his lessons-Doesnt wrk.do resrch find better teacher.
