Prof. Jones was a pretty cool guy...he just got in some ugly moods from time to time. I ended up with an A and I didn't read once. He put a lot of emphasis on papers and gave some extra credit. If you can pull papers out of your butt and do well, take the class!

His tests are only easy if you study for hours upon hours and memorize the textbooks word for word. Too much effort for a GE. His lectures do not pertain to the required reading. Obviously favors athletes...

Comment:
Arrogant, condescending toward non-Christians (btw I'm a Christian and he disgusts me), doesn't teach, he preaches a sermon that has nothing to do with the material he's supposed to cover. The book is horribly written and outdated. Often brags about his supposed life as a student at Oxford (truth is he was only there for 1 month). Avoid this guy

He plays favorites, doesn't go over test material in class but rather just gives a sermon. His tests cover the textbooks that are horribly written. The only reason he chose the texts that he did is because he knows the authors. He decides to only come once a week and you're expected to figure out the rest out without help

He makes loads of sports analogies and that sort of thing, but he's a lot of fun and a really easy grader. Great guy. Take this class with him if you can.

Jones was a pretty cool teacher. Had him this summer for Humanities and he was very approachable. Really cool guy and really nice to his students. He also curved the grades so I wound up with a B! not bad for a whole semester crunched into three weeks. =P

He will lecture the full time which is hard to take at 8 in the morning, but he knows his stuff. If you enter the class with a positive attitude, you will leave with a deeper knowledge of the Bible from a scholarly perspective, which is a great backround to know about the Christian faith.

Ugh....so egotistical. I am a Christian and he left a sour taste in my mouth about Christianity. He's just very sure about his beliefs, but not in a good way. He is annoying about sports, and gets extremely off topic, and thinks he knows EVERYTHING and that there's no other way to think about things. Not a good choice for a professor.

Jones can be inconsistent at times, but he sure knows how to lecture and to keep you interested in the topic! he's such a funny guy who can always make you laugh with one of his goofy jokes. Enthusiastic, funloving, & very good about keeping his lectures open to new beliefs & thoughts (doesn't enforce a one-sided Christian belief). Good teacher!

Great guy, loves the topics, has everything memorized, really intelligent. Gets on tangents but these are neede breaks in an hour and a half class. Very funny, loves a class that will laugh with him. Very easy to talk with and will spend time out of class of you need him to. Makes religion fun.

Ok Jones is nice but sometimes a little weird. An A is easy to get and if you go to his church a few times he loves you. He wants students to suceed but he is not a good teacher. If you want to get by take him but if you are taking for the religious experience you might wanna look elsewhere.

Guy cant teach. He is funny and chill but I am not sure why I wake up at 8 to hear about his life and not about rel. not that i mind..more just do not really like that he tends to be an a%* to some people in the class. all in all go for another prof. mcdowell when he gets back.

1 of the worst instructors I have ever had. The sexism and faithism that permeate his classroom made several people walk out of lectures or sit in extreme discomfort. He is nice to christians. Not so nice to nonchristians. If you want a professor who fails to teach yet manages to offend, take him.

He came across as a nice guy at first but now his ****, egoistic comments annoy me. He is also disdainful of those who don't agree with him theologically and I am sick of him digressing from the topic and going on about sports. The class is cake and I have an A but I'd take it from someone else.

This class is alright--I enjoyed religion 101 much better. Prof gets off on tangents which can be annoying. But he is a great guy, fun to listen to, very funny, and he cares about the subject.

He is hilarious. He oftens tangents on sports and other subjects and sometimes needs reminding of where he left on in the lecture. Great teacher though, easy but thorough class, and simple tests. Just do the study guide.
