Soooo much homework and it takes very long to do. About 15 hours a week, and you still don't understand the material. Professor is 100% hands off and unaccessible- didn't respond to my emails or questions. You are expected to learn from 1980s videos and Google. Hated this class.

Comment:

Koto is a great professor and even as an older guy, he still looks for feedback on how he can improve his lectures and better teach the quite challenging material to his students. If you show up to every class, allot time for each of the homework assignments and ONLY use Chegg as a teaching aid, you will ace his class. Homework VERY heavy, however.

I got an A only because I did the hw he assigned WHILE he was teaching how to do it. Don't do this, you will get SWAMPED with homework. Didn't give any feedback or grade any hw or quizes we did all semester. I have no clue how this guy is the head of the Engineering department. Oh wait, it's because he used to work for Ford. great guy, bad teacher

Comment:

Kotowski is one of the most generous profs you will find. His policies are so generous you could probably earn an A with around an 82%. I'm not kidding. Anyway, he's clear with his explanations, posts lectures online for you to view at home, ample extra credit on homework, exams are simple. He's an excellent professor and a nice guy in my opinion.

Comment:

Statics was a hard class, but Joe made the class better. He helps you before tests and gives help on questions after class. Hard class, but he makes it easier by 85% is an A. This means 84% is an A if you do all the HW, and there's extra credit on HW. Helpful. I would recommend.

For an online math class it wasn't as bad as i thought. This is because Professor Kotowoski does a great job. He really does care about your grade and wants you to pass (unlike most math teachers). I would definitely recommend this professor!

I took this online business stats class and it was honestly the hardest class I've ever taken. The professor was very helpful whenever you had a question and was very quick with replies. Every week the homework is due on Sunday so by the end of the semester I had spent 100 hours just on the online homework. Great teacher but hard class!

he is a nice person but not a great prof. He solved some examples but made plenty of mistakes on board. Some students had hard time understanding the subject but were never able to get any help from him. We had to go to tutors to help us with his HW and projects. And if you raise any query on email, gud luck getting a revert back! boring class.

This professor is by far one of the most understanding professors. Basically, I just took him this last semester FW17. He lets up redo homework and you have multiple attempts to redo quizzes. He's super understanding and you will get the grade you deserve; get ready to learn and you should be fine.

Took dynamics online. Lectures consisted of a brief overview of the main topics for each lecture, and then he did multiple example problems which would be on the homework sets. Overall an effective format style, and homework sets were lengthy but fair.

I took both classes online, there is lots of homework on Mastering Engineering; about two sets each week and gives some extra credit problems. He gives fair partial credit on the exams if you show your work and show that you at least seem to have a good idea on how to solve the problems through your work (3-5 problems per exam). Very nice guy.

Joe is easily my favorite teacher at Oakton. I honestly can't fathom how someone could give him a bad review. He's SUPER laid back and understanding, and he made the classroom feel like a community where everyone was friends with each other. It was one of the best learning environments I have been a part of.

Joe is the man. His lessons are funny and highly informative. He displays a clear passion for both the subject and helping his students understand the material. There is a lot of homework for both classes, but this is a necessary evil since this is a difficult subject that most people wouldn't grasp without repetition. Again, Joe is the man.
