This man is one of the most compassionate, helpful teachers in the dept. Quizzes and tests are fairly easy. he will record classes if you miss them and is willing to help you understand. I learned so much in so little time. His text is easy to use and only $14. He is gentle and warm and extremely understanding. I love this guy!

Dr. Broderick was absolutely wonderful! Anyone who needs to take a Grammar Class should definitely take him. He is the sweetest man and he has such a passion for GRAMMAR...He wrote the Textbook (which is cheap) and he makes it super easy to understand! Great Class!!!!

Best. Professor. Ever. He rules. I want to be like him. Smart, helpful and grounded. I had him for a number of grad and undergrad courses. He used to resemble Phil Donahue (Broderick has aged better) so that should be worth something too

Wonderful man. He is one of my favorite professors. He repeats things for the students that are having difficulty and doesn't mind if other students work on something else while he is repeating himself. On paper, his classes look hard, but they aren't as bad as they seem.

Dr. B is my inspiration for entering the Master's program in Applied Linguistics. His enthusiasm for teaching as well as his wonderful lectures make him the best professor I ever had. I plan on taking as many of his courses that I can!

Dr. Broderick is the best professor I have had at ODU. I really wish that I had him for Eng 350, as well, as I haven't learned half as much in that entire course (with another prof) as I did in Broderick's 2 week grammar section.
