I really liked this professor. She sometimes grades on a slight curve, and offers extra credit assignments. Also some extra credit on some of the tests. Drops lowest test grade. Tests are fairly long and mixed fill in blank, match, multiple choice, essays. It is a hard subject, but she explains it well and with humor. Had her for lecture only.

Im taking her now and I must say her bark is worst than her bite. She talks really fast and sometimes low, bring a recorder. Absolutely NO cell phones or you will be asked to leave her class. Be prepared to study, and study. Her tests are very confusing @ times so just learn the material.

I loved her! She is funny and has a great lecture style. There is no way to pass her class without knowing the material, so be prepared to study. She actually failed A&P herself several times before passing so I think she feels for struggling students and is great at encouraging them and allowing Extra Credit.

Ms. L is a great teacher, knows her stuff and is actually funny. Cares about and is interested in you learning bio. My biggest thing with her is the "trick" questions on all test including final (not extremely hard) but if you don’t know it, it can be painful. It makes you doubt what you know at times which I don’t think is the best method of teaching. Those people who have a job and can't study much, study think about it. Great xcredit.

Her bark is worse than her bite. LOVED HER!! She is tough but more than fair. You will work hard in this class and will work for your grade but you will learn more than you thought possible. Bring a recorder. She talks fast and there is a lot of info. She knows her stuff.

This is an excellent professor, this is the most I have ever benn taught or benn interested in a class. She gives excellent examples and is very helpful. This class alone is a hard course so if you are looking for an easy way out or an easy A dont expect it from her.

AWESOME!!! I didnt pass the class but it wasnt her fault. I learned more in her class than in any other class i have ever taken .....EVER. The nature of the class is what is hard. But she goes out of her way to help you!!!!

Ms Lawhorn is an outstanding proffessor. She can teach difficult subjects with nothing more than chaulk and a chaulkboard. She is commited to your success and will bend over backwards to help you but she will not give you a grade you have to earn it. If you take her class bring a taperecorder becouse she can talk faster than you can write.

Very thourough instructor, but very hard class, you know it would be hard anyway, but this lady is adement you learn this stuff, if trying to get into RAD program lab should be no prob with Homsi, but lecture with Lawhorne could prove to be difficult!!! Good luck and go for the extra credit!!!
