Without a doubt, one of the most important people in my life. I was in his 1st Crane Trumpet Studio....we were the movers and shakers of Crane, baby! I owe much of what I am as a trumpet player to him.

I personally witnessed JohnEllisTrumpet's trumpet catch on fire druing a 14 octave pentatonic, double-harmonic, inverted, celestial, minor, A flat scale. It was crazy. It went so high that i couldn't hear it, but when i went home my cat was dead, and i think doc Ellis killed him.

Dude- Doc Ellis is the man! What an incredable player and guy- If you are serious, he will take you to new levals. Such a layed back, cool guy- lots of laughs and great studio partys! ELLIS IS THE BEST AT CRANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
