Mullican is a great teacher. Be ready to put in the work. He knows what he is talking about but you will need to study the note really really well. The whole grade is based off of exams. Know all the details of the notes and you will be fine

102 isn't an easy class, but Dr. Mullican made it fun. He's humorous, and his lectures don't seem long and boring. The only grades you will be getting are from tests and the lab grade. The tests are hard, but if you study a good grade is achievable.

Dr. Mullican was one of the best teachers/professors I've had all throughout my schooling. He seems intimidating, but if you go to his office for help, he's more laid back and actually a pretty cool guy. He has high expectations, and his tests are tough, but if you study/memorize your notes at least a week before the test, you'll do fine.

Go in and ask him questions, he will gladly help. Memorize your notes as he teaches them. His lecture style makes it possible to get all the information. Just know it. A is possible if you dedicate the time. Passionate about his students and the subject.

Great teacher but you best be willing to study like crazy because you need to be as specific as possible on the exams if you want to get a good grade. The exams have multiple essay questions and you really need to know what you're talking about. I'm not kidding. Take this class seriously and dedicate your time to it!!!!

This course is difficult. It covers a lot of material. The tests are long. You will need to study. This all sounds negative, but Dr. Mullican is absolutely wonderful. He truly cares about his students. I was failing this course, but I spoke with him and he encouraged me to keep fighting. Three years later, I am still a bio major and I love it.

Dr. Mullican was a very difficult professor who did an excellent job of teaching the material. If you are looking for an easy A this is not the course for you--but if you want to learn Biology, Dr. Mullican is an excellent instructor. His tests, while difficult, did come directly from his notes so make sure to have all of them!

Dr. Mullican is the MAN..... Dr. Mullican is everything that is MAN... Dr. Mullican is equally man and professor.... His class made me want to cry at times (most of the time), but thanks to his class and expertise in cellular biology I am now a 4th year resident at Johns Hopkins. P.S his lab tests came directly from the bowels of HELL!!! good luck!

Took this professor who was late to every class, talked down to all of us. Not to mention that over half the class dropped before the end since they were all failing due to his inability to teach effectivly. Would never take a class with this professor ever again.

Cell Bio is an extremely hard class at Washburn, but Dr. Mullican teaches it well. His tests are mostly essay, but the essays come straight from his notes. If you get a handout during class, expect it to be an essay question on the test. If you need help, ASK. Dr. Mullican is very willing to help out if you need it.

I really liked him both as a person and as a professor. His lectures were always pretty straightforward and his tests came directly from his notes. It required a lot of studying ? I had to memorize my notes pretty much word for word but by doing so, I had no problem getting A?s on his tests. As long as you study, you should do fine.

Excellent instructor. Gets with each student for a private meet-and-great. Seems geniunely interested in each student. Very patient with "dumb" questions. Read your book before class and DEFINATELY use the study recommendations he gives. You WILL be regurgitating what you learn. Mostly essay on exams. No final, just 6 exams. Learned a LOT.

This course was extremely rigorous, but it prepared me well for my future biology courses. He is willing to help if a student does not understand course material. His notes are more important than the text.

Awesome professor, and he's looking good!!! He is always willing to help students outside of class. His lectures are very clear and thorough. He demands a lot, but is fair and respectful of students. He really wants you to understand biology so you'll do well in future classes. I would definitely take another class from Dr. Mullican.

The Doc is probably one of the best prof at Washburn. I've heard horror stories about his difficult courses and his demands on students, which I can see a bit of, but his willingness to help and to put up with a lot of stupidity, especially from students like me, shows he is a great instructor. And who couldn't like a guy that enjoys a good Pinot
