He's a nice guy and very intelligent, but if you're not built for statistics, you will not understand this class at all. I had a very difficult time despite watching videos and reading the textbook after lectures. He does not explain concepts well, then singles students out in lecture; 2/10, would not take again.

Junsoo doesn't make the class too easy, but it's just challenging enough to foster real learning. He does require attendance, but his lectures are actually interesting.

A good guy all around, funny in his lectures once you get the hang of his accent. Don't slip up on exams, though, since they're the bulk of the grade and he doesn't really give extra credit on anything. He made the final optional this term. Overall a solid choice for intermediate macro.

Junsoo is a GOAT. He truly cares about his students' success and wants us all to make A's in the class. He can be hard to understand in class because he tends to fly through lectures, but if you pay attention throughout class he does everything but explicitly tell you the answers you need for exams. If you are able to take him, DO IT

By far one of the best professors I have had at UA. I am not great at Econ but Dr. Lee explains the concepts so well and gives you so much practice to do good on the tests. He wants his students to do good! He is very accessible outside of class and will help you with whatever you are struggling with. Actually understood econ with him!

Junsoo is good at explaining what he chooses to focus on. Unfortunately, what he chooses to focus on often assumes that you yourself have some prior knowledge of the broader topic. To get the core concepts and intuition, you'll have to read on your own or find YouTube teachers. That said, he's a funny, nice guy who grades pretty leniently.

Professor Lee is funny, but the class was very hard. It was hard to understand him, especially since he doesnt use a mic and talks quietly.

I'm "biased" because I love the course material but Junsoo is one of my favorite professors I've had at UA. He is extremely passionate and honest. He also gets class feedback about test/HW/paper due dates EVERY TIME, something I've never seen a professor do. We had lots of HW, but he cancelled the final because our class worked hard. He's a GOAT

Dr. Lee is a brilliant professor and is extremely knowledgeable about what he teaches. He makes the material fun to learn and easy to understand, but his tests are very hard. If you come to class and participate then you should do fine, but be prepared to study your tail off for the tests. Also, try to sit toward the front for the lectures.

Dr Lee is the BEST! He puts so much time and effort into being a good instructor. His accent is hard, but you get used to it in a couple weeks (sit near the front). He gives you so much preparation before the exams with quizzes and practice exams. His lectures are engaging and funny, and he is always willing to help you!

I took Dr. Lee for Econometrics, and he took what used to be an incredibly difficult class and made it much more understandable for us. The homeworks are tough, and you have to work hard on them, but if you do poorly, he lets you correct them. The tests are very fair and pretty simple if you go to class and pay attention to key topics.

While he is unclear on grading scales, Junsoo is an amazing teacher where you will learn a lot at UA. His class is hard, but if you do not miss or have one absence you get bonus and can improve your grade a lot. His test are relatively straightforward from study guides, but multiple choice can be hard.

JUNSOO IS ADORABLE. At first you will have no idea what he is saying, but within a day you will have become accustomed to his accent. He is brilliant in every way possible and the research he has done is testament to how knowledgeable he is. Junsoo is a rare blend of intellectual prowess and ace professorship. A gem for Culverhouse.

Overall Dr. Lee was an amazing teacher. But even for an honors econ class he seemed overqualified. I think he mainly teaches doctorate level classes.. If you go to class and pay special attention to the models you can get an A. The practice test are very similar to the real exams. The final was optional

Junsoo is ADORABLE. He has a quirky sense of humor, and genuinely cares about your progress in the class. You have to go to class - he counts attendance and assigns in-class assignmentsquizzes. If you do go, the class isn't at all hard. He's also super accessible when it comes to of office hours and recommendation letters.

Dr. Lee is great! It took me about a week to get used to his accent and the pace of the class--he is a little manic at times--but his passion about the material will rub off. Plus he will slow down and repeat himself on complicated topics. He is great in office hours as well!
