I dont know what it's like to take his class in person, but the Zoom experience is awful. The pacing of the class feels all over the place, sometimes he assigns you two sections (ex : 14.2 & 14.3) of homework to go with a 1 hour lecture, other times he assigns you 7 problems. It feels like I am shooting in the dark and have no clue what to expect

Dunbar was very good at teaching and explaining concepts. However, I felt the homework was way too excessive, he practically assigns every problem in the chapter. While the first two exams were straightforward, every exam afterwards were EXTREMELY difficult, far beyond anything we were ever assigned. Dropped course however due to covid shutdown.

For the people that complains he doesn't give a study guide, he literally goes in detail what wil be on the exam a day or two beofre test day. If you do the homework (Which he assigns a lot of and is mandatory, so if you don't like that take someone else), you'll do fine

AVOID Dunbar's calculus three class if you care about learning (or your GPA). Nice guy but horrible class. I've never even gotten a B in college and I might legitimately fail this class. Tests are RIDICULOUSLY hard (no study guide). lectures are all theory, no real lesson. Doesn't care that entire class is failing. Other classes are much safer bet.

Professor Dunbar is AMAZING! I took his 7am accelerated math class. The first week is though, be prepare! Tons of homework appr. 2-4 hrs a day/ not kidding , BUT you will pass with an A if you there in class and do all the homework. Moreover, he makes seriously everything clear! I finished his class w A and I can say I Love math!

He was a pretty good teacher, not the best, not the worst. Took him for calc 3 and knew it could have been worse and could have been better. Overall decent experience, does not finish problems all the way through, and the final is a bit hard due to the fact that he pulls randomly from the whole course and does not give much clue to what will be on

I don't know how to adequately review him. He made the content understandable, manageable, and useful. He is worth the wait, as I waited two semesters to take his class.

Dunbar is very thorough in his lectures and wants you to learn. Hes always asking for feedback and looking for confused students. He is available outside of class and will explain anything you ask. I wish most teachers taught like Dunbar. Just do all the homework and go to tutoring (extra credit) if you want an A

Dunbar is a great teacher, goes in depth about all of the concepts of stats and does a great job of teaching the material. Stats imo is a pretty difficult subject and if you'd like to get an A, I would highly suggest you attend every class and make sure you do all of the homework. I eased up and relaxed a bit on attendance and ended up with a B.

Professor Dunbar was great, he is very straightforward and very caring about his students. He can give a lot of homework at times but its not too bad. Show up to class, do ALL of the homework and youll do well. Plenty of extra credit opportunities too for those who might need it.

Be ready for a lot of homework, if you do all your homework more than likely you will pass. Can earn extra credit to boost grade.

Mr Dunbar us a nice teacher and all but his escelerated class is very difficult espcailly if your a slow leaner in math. He teaches very quick, gives alot of hw and expects you to show the work and steps his way on the quizzes otherwise the work is wrong. He doesn't give very much extra credit as it's only group tutoring for only 2 points per show

Professor Dunbar was a wonderful professor. Due to starting math at a later point in my life, it was evident that I was a bit rusty and needed some tuning. I was easily able to ace his class because he truly cares about his students and explains every topic in class thoroughly. He genuinely wants his students to succeed.

If you decide to take an accelerated math class, well look no further fight the good fight get into his 7am math class... that is if you can be some where other than your bed at 7 am. You will need to do the homework. You will need to attend class. You will need to form study groups. Keep a light course load with an 8 credit math class its hard.

Stats is something that you honestly either understand or don't. But Professor Dunbar does a good job of teaching it either way. Go to all the lectures and don't try to learn it on your own. Be ready for lots of small tests, but remember that the final is cumulative.

Amazing math professor. This is the second straight semester that I have taken him. Best advice, show up to class, do the homework, take the extra credit study groups and ask questions. He has a very structured class so make sure you show up or are ready to play catch up before the next class. Nice guy, willing to answer all questions.

He is a very nice man despite his personal quirks, but not a great teacher. I had taken a previous statistics class so I was fine in this class but many of my peers struggled and I ended up having to explain the material to them since Professor Dunbar does not explain any of it very well. He also assigns a lot of time consuming homework.
