So I had heard tales about this guy before I even came to South. Dr. Abel wasn't teaching when I was a freshmn, he was on sabbatical or something in New Zealand, but now he's back wit ha vengeance! Totally crazy, totally awersome prof! He actually wrestled a baseball player to the floor to show us maori battle style, and he's like 80 years old!

OK, who said he was hot? They must be really twisted or somthing. OK, I guess if it werent for the shaved head and half-beard he would look decent, but come on... overall a really good professor though, he teaches you a lot, and he's more than interesting. just don't make him MAD, he holds grudges. highly recommended!

great teacher! im so glad I got a chance to fianlly take him! very very very intelligent man - eccentric, yes, but in a fun way. you will learn A LOT from him. Plus, he just returned from 18 months in Australia, so he has lots of cool stories to tell. he showed us a slideshow of him hunting with aborigines. great stuff!

TAKE THIS PROF! He's kind of a hard grader, but you will learn alot. He asks questions and he expects answers from the class. Plus, he actually WROTE the textbook he uses. It's called "Man and Destiny: Nature's Predilection for Human Eminence". Brilliant man! Oh, and did I mention he's HOT?!!

Great guy! He co-authored a couple of books in the 70s, so he's kinda well-known in the Cultural Anthropology world. He seems a little weird at first, but if you talk to him after class he'll tell you all about his "character-trials and adventures&

He's good. His lectures are interesting, and he's got some wacky theories about human development and mysticism. Ask him about dopplegangers.

Dr. Abel is nuts. He'll be laughing and joking with his students, and then suddenly slam his book down on his podium and glare at everybody. A little scary, but a pretty good teacher when he actually teaches.
