Comment:

She is a well knowledgeable professor but often goes off topic and loads you with unnecessary information. A mixture of take home tests and lecture multiple choice tests. Extra credit available in form of attending STEM lectures. Rude if you miss classes but at start of semester she says she doesn't care. She may not be here next semester though.

Comment:

All tests are either take home or open note but with confusing questions. She is nice most of the time but can be very rude when she wants. She expects you to attend every lecture or she'll get mad, her lectures drag. I would take a different professor if you want a better understanding of physiology.

Comment:

Fantastic instructor. Study her study guide and lecture notes and you will do well. Great lectures, very clear. Helps if you don't understand material. Of course u shouldn't expect take home tests - what is up with that. This is a tough class and you have to study but you learn a ton. Loved it.

Comment:

She had to switch formats for each test because students were doing so poorly. This class requires a LOT of self-teaching because she is so inconsistent with lecture notes. Altogether, if you want a professor who has a passion for their students and will provide a strong, sufficient background in physiology- take someone else by all means.

Comment:

I LOVED her class. yes she does teach traditionally but really does help and sit in the front. People expected take home exams! like seriously they wont make it far if they choose nursing or other medical career. That being said work hard for your grade and dont complain! you get what you put in for studying. She really is too kind. Study!!!

Her study guide is fantastic, a big help for studying for tests. Super clear lectures. No surprises what will be on tests. Very fair tests- some take home, some open notes. Take notes, study them and you will get a good grade. Meets with u if you need help. Wants u to do well. Very smart, knows the subject. Glad I took her class.

By far the best instructor I have ever had. Physiology is tough and I was afraid to take it. She made the lectures interesting, easy to follow and gave a lot of examples of clinical application which I really liked since I hope to go to PA school. She took time to meet with me to discuss some confusing information. She wants you to do well.

Comment:

Great professor and very knowledgeable. Really knows her material. Shes old so expect her to get a little brain fart. Its crucial that you take great notes or record her lecture to prepare for the exam. Physiology is no way an easy class so study ahead of time. Dont walk in her class expecting a take home exam or an easy A. 5 exams and 4 quizzes.

Frequently assigned the wrong grades to me, had to correct her several times otherwise my A wouldve been a C. Many students in this class struggle because of her ineffective teaching style and inconsistencies in information. Easily the worst professor Ive had in my undergraduate career. Take a different class no matter what.

Apparently, she use to give take home exams or allow open notes in the past, but now she decided to completely change her style. I find it rather unfair that her previous semesters got an easy A. Its hard enough to maintain an A when theres little points to earn, no extra credit opportunity and doesnt even drop the lowest quiz/exam.

She doesnt give take home exams anymore. Doesnt drop the lowest test or give extra credits either. Youll have 5 mutiple choice exams (originally 6, but had to cancel one due to lack of time) and 3 quizzes (mutiple choice and short answers). Exams and quizzes are a bit challenging so study hard.

No OPEN BOOK EXAM , she changed her style amd it is completely diffrent than all below reviews. Hard exam and hard lab quiz which the average are %60. Dont take her , go somewhere else if you are a good listener. Half of class dropped before exam 4

I dropped! lecture is boring! and shes not organized from the first couple ch's since she writes on white board. She knows her stuff but gets confused. She is tough grader, and expects people to know chem before going into this class for the first ch's. Can be rude at times & makes comments that she should keep to herself. Take at your own risk

Comment:

Professor Linda is an amazing teacher! It is a night class, which sucks, but she is awesome at being kind and understanding that most people in her class had full time jobs. Her lectures are great. Take lots of notes!!! Tests were open notes, so if you're there you can definitely do well. She is a very smart woman and loves to teach!

I LOVED this professor! Just write/record/draw everything (her art skills are adorable) she tells you and you will be fine. She is really passionate about what she teaches. She shares funny/ personal/ relevant stories sometimes and it really makes the class so entertaining and educational. I wish every professor was like her!!

I absolutely enjoyed having Professor Gardner as a professor! She has a very big heart and truly wants all of her students to do well. I've never had a professor as kind as her; willing to partake in student study groups on her off time! She is very dedicated, passionate about teaching and fun! Tests are open notes so take great notes!! A++

tests aren't easy u need to go to lecture & actually understand the info it is open notes but it still is hard even with it, take good lecture notes & u should be fine , record her lectures & go back & rewrite notes ! It helps!Lab quizzes are tough & require more than just Studying right before lab stay until end of lab she will bump up ur grade

Very knowledgeable but has habit of repeating course material. This lead to elimination of other organ systems in the course. Does not challenge her students yet 2/3 of class were at or below average. Exams are straight forward. I am on the fence on whether I would recommend her course. Enroll at your own risk.

No more take home tests due to cheating from the previous years. easy easy a. don't take class if you need to learn. she explains to you like you're 5 years old, takes a whole week to explain 2 concepts. she took 5 weeks to explain metabolism. only learned about 3 systems(heart..and i cant even remember the others) and not in much detail.

The best teacher ever. Attendance not mandatory, but no one ever misses class. I have learned more in this one class than I did in my 2 years of nursing school. No stress learning, produces more retention. SHE IS BRILLIANT!!!
