Comment:

Seriously a great professor. He has lots of hours outside of class and is an interesting guy, which made the class fun. Acct 203 is a hard class, and he is very math heavy. My qualms are that it was hard to keep up at times with the math (like where it was going) AND he didn't use Canvas. The not using canvas annoyed me because of due dates.

Comment:

He's very good professor. He cares so much about his students however, his quizs and exams were often different and more harder than we learned through his lecture. Sometime, he wasn't even go through it in class. So, it feels more like he expects you to read chapters before the lecture and quizzes/exams. Overall, you'll learn a lot from him.

I have had professor Heritage for 3 classes now, he is a very caring person who is always there for his students. On the other hand the accounting series classes were the hardest classes I have ever taken. Find friends to work problems out with and study together as a group!

Great Instructor - best at TCC. If you are majoring in business, he is the accounting instructor and business law instructor you want. I had him for all three accounting classes - excellent.

Comment:

He's a good professor. As we all know accounting is not an easy class that I think you must be ready and spend 100% of your work during the whole quarter. Sometimes he's a little bit hard on grading, but sometimes he will give you credits if it may have another way to do that. Overall, I believe he's the best professor for accounting at TCC.

Those that do well in his class have some kind of background in acct. but for those that are taking an acct class for the first time will be lost. Quizzes can look very different from the work done in class and the tests have trick questions. Im surprised theres no prereqs for this class because he teaches like we should already know stuff.

I am thrilled to say I will get to have professor Heritage for my next two terms here at TCC for all my accounting credits. I was very nervous to take this class. Hes ones of the best teachers Ive had. He understands not everyone wants to be an accountant and makes everything easy to understand. He is a tough grader and every point matters. STUDY

BEST ACCOUNTING TEACHER AT TCC PERIOD.. I took him for ACCT 201/202/203 and I had a great time. Ask lots of questions and show up for his office hours for additional help because he is always there. He also runs the investment club on campus and I would urge you to join. I cant stress this enough... BEST ACCOUNTING TEACHER AT TCC PERIOD!

He's a nice guy and knows a lot but he isn't very good at teaching. There is no structure in his lectures and its very difficult to follow. His tests and quizzes are difficult because every detail has to be correct even if your final answer is correct. He is an extremely tough grader. You're probably better off teaching yourself from the textbook.

One of the best teachers I've had. I am required to take these acct classes and I hate them, but Heritage makes it very easy and straightforward to understand. Don't understand? Ask a question. No question is "stupid" in his book. He genuinely wants you to understand acct and I appreciate that. For exams & quiz, he'll tell you what to study for

how to succeed in his class: go over materials briefly before lecture. study to do good on quiz(mostly his quiz are slightly hard just to keep you to study so you are on the right track. Exams stick with basic. He is the best prof I ever seen. He knows how to motivate students to study. He is a friendly, knowledgable, humorous professor.

Dr. Heritage makes accounting class more interesting . He puts effort into ensuring students understand the reasoning behind difficult concepts. When we are learning something hard he gives us several examples to work on in class in our workbooks then goes through it on the board. His exams and quizzes are difficult so make sure you're prepared.

Since my average GPA is 3.97 of 60 credits I took in TCC, I considered myself as a hard working person; however, Len drop me down to the ground. His lecture is very misleading and confusing. He is a very nice and smart accountant, but not a good teacher. Honestly, study by yourown might be better choice than learning from him.

I took three instructor in accounting including Dr. Heritage, Reisdorf and Mburu. All of them are very good but Dr. Heritage for me is more knowledgable, experience and challenging in the exam. He's hard on grading the exam but if you are interest in accounting career, I would recommend you to take Dr. Heritage classes and get to know him.

I've been taking college classes for over 2 years and this is the hardest one I've ever taken. BUT, he's an incredible teacher. Everything he assigns is difficult. Use time management wisely! Very friendly if you get on his good side. Don't skip class. Just don't. He uses the white board and his voice (no power points)so you must be present.

Heritage is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He knows what he's talking about and tells you exactly what he expects out of you at the start of the quarter. I've taken 2 of his classes and would choose him as a professor again. If you really want to learn and can devote the time to study (not easy classes), take his class. Great Professor!

He's strict and not friendly but he's totally an awesome instructor. He explained every little things that I-(used to fail this class before) can understand all the fundamentals and passed 2 remain accounting classes with A easily. He doesn't take roles but everything he said will be in the exams so don't skip class, stay focus and you'll be fine.
