I did not like her class at all. Lectures were all over the place (and very boring) She makes what you need to study for the test and what she expects to see on it very unclear. She gives two test with the majority being essay questions and the multiple choice questions are only worth half a point.

This professor is amazing! I adore her. She initiates the discussion and hats basically the class. We only had 10 students,and we only had 9 lectures during the entire class. She is very approachable and good at teaching the material. She will keep you to the VERY LAST second of class, and she likes to talk a lot!!

Make sure you don't skip any work, she doesn't give any make-up work. She doesn't care what the reason is. She also doesn't email you back right away, (approx 4 days). She had the opportunity to drop my grade of a WF off my transcript and didn't even with a doctors excuse. I suggest you NOT to take her. Worst teacher I've ever came in contact with.

Professor Zack does not teach an online class well at all. Her first online class, and it was a mistake taking it with her. You must have all your work in by the deadline, which is logical but then she takes up to 2 weeks to get a grade back to you. Instructions are not clear, & she's hard to get in touch with. Very strongly do not recommend her.

I am normally an all A+ student. this course was very challenging. She is not the greatest at communication outside of class which makes catching up difficult. Her style is different but not incoherent. Just takes some getting used to. She is very knowledgeable about the subject and really challenges students to explore the subject

Dr. Zack was an interesting woman, but this class was not. The book isn't necessary, but the essays every week are. The class is out of 100 points. There are 3 tests that are NOTHING like the class. She says study and review, but the review sessions are not as helpful.

Where do I begin with this women. Dr. Zack's class is so boring! It's not that hard: only three tests. I only took 2 because she lets you skip the final if you're happy with your grade. you write essays every week, but their not hard. Come to class when you're discussing them cause that's when you learn the most. You dont need the textbook really.

Comment:

Contrary to what others say, if you study and take decent notes, this class wasn't very hard. The worst parts are the weekly essays (very short) and test essays. It's not interesting at all, but I made a B on 2/3 tests. She's not a great teacher and kind of thinks she's a genius, but this wasn't an awful class. I'd recommend a different teacher.

this was political soc. and one day she went off on the salaries at the school and who got big raises and the effects on morale for everyone else, then it was test time and there was nothing about it

This class wasn't very interesting. You will have 3 tests during the semester and they count 80% of your grade. She covers the material pretty well but doesn't make it very interesting. She is very nice but if you want an A, take a different professor.

Dr. Zack is a fun, easy-going professor. Her class is mostly a discussion, and we went into some pretty interesting topics which made the class fun. However, her tests are comprised of mainly essay and 10 MC. It can be hard to figure out exactly what she wants on the essays, they can be pretty challening. Class attendance is mandatory to do well

Zack is ridiculous. I had to make a C at least for nursing school, and she wouldn't give me a C, when i was 3 points from one. I talked a lot in class discussions and was involved...obviously that DOES NOT matter. DO NOT TAKE HER. SHE IS AWFUL!

Very very hard class at entry level. It makes no sense for her to be so hard on her students just becasue she can. I do not reccomend her to anyone wishing to maintain a good GPA. Avoid any of her classes...if you can.

This professor is horrible, it's one thing to be bad at a 100 level class, but higher up the scale she is worse.Going to her class is like pulling teeth without anesthesia. Tests, lectures are very unclear. Has a liberal bent to her in the way she frames issues and guides the discussions.Avoid her at all costs.

This is a hard freshman level class. There are three essay exams which count 90% of your final grade. If you can't write essays then take someone else. However, Dr. Zach is very helpful and can be very interesting. It is possible to finish the class with a B but it's even easier to finish with a D.

Very hard class! She does not help the student in preparing for the class. Her class use to be easy but she found out what the students were saying and made it harder. You only get three test in her class and those are exams wich are comprised of three essays. What she teach is diffrent from the exams she give. If you can avoid her calss do so.
