Amazing teacher! This online class may have had busy work but it was super easy. Assignments are straightforward and she would reply almost immediately to emails about any questions comments or concerns. You have to really miss assignments in order to not receive an A. Short quizzes that are strictly related to the text or can be found online.

I can tell you the workload is absurd for an online Summer class. 3 assignments (sometimes make videos) due 3 days a week (9). You would have to have no life to consistently complete and submit assignments on time. I think she understands this.. late policy isn't too strict and seems like she tries to make it as easy as possible for you.

I've taken her class for Eng 15, it was lots of paperwork back then. But in 202D you don't need to worry about papers. Her writing assignments are short and interesting, and you can really learn stuff from writing those assignments. She grades things fairly and replies to emails very fast. I would definitely recommend my friends to take her class

I took the online class. I didnt love the group discussions but since we dont meet in person in regular class, they werent too bad. Its all organized from the beginning so you can work ahead if you need to. My first online class and it was a lot better than I expected. Prof gave feedback on everything so I knew what I did wrong.

My class is completely online so I never see her but I have never had a problem with her. The only complaint I have is there is a ton of busy work and the video discussions are not necessary in my opinion.

The classwork was easy enough but she curved down my grade for no reason. She turned my A to a B+ by changing my quiz scores at the end of the semester. And lied about it when I emailed her. My quiz average went from a 90% to 59% and she stopped answering me afterwards. It makes no sense and a bad person for doing so.

Online class was awesome as long as you actually read and followed all the modulles. There are links to all the weeks stuff, but you have to click on the weekly overview to see it. There was a lot of writing but it was not awful. I sucked at high school english but got a B in here class. Gives feedback on everything except quizzes.

this teacher has cancer, she will curve down your grade, my A- becomes a B+ and she never responds to my email. she doesn't give any helpful advice to any essay. and she provides no extra credit

As International students, we really suffered from this class. For the essays assigned, we were told that the MLA format is incorrect. Fine, never gave us the expected citation she wanted to see., but gave us full credit for the bibliography homework. Didn't mention anything we lack in comments. MLA citations from helpmecitethis were graded wrong.

great professor and great class. For the summer class there was a quiz, activity and discussion due monday wednesday friday and then a final project paper. She responded quickly to questions and was very helpful in the class. Class helped build resumes, better understand business etiquette and build yourself as a professional.

By far the best experience with an English professor. Professor Dareneau is extremely understanding and helpful. She does not give hard work or it does not seem hard because 1. it is interesting and 2. it is relevant to real life skills that will be applied in communicating in a professional environment.

The curriculum is full of writing since it is a writing course, but it was not just busy work. Much of the work done in this class is very useful. On top of that, you were required to do audio/video recordings on certain topics and although it may be uncomfortable at first, it is necessary to practice this skill in our day and age. Good feedback.

Prof. Dareneau was a really easy professor. She has everything laid out for the entire semester on ANGEL so you can get ahead if you want to. She's a really easy grader and gives great feedback on essays. I would totally recommend taking ENGL15 with her, online if possible!!

The online course material isn't very difficult however because it is condensed it is quite a bit of work. The teacher is very nice and gives great feedback. Fast in responding to emails and helpful in answering any questions. I recommend working ahead from the start as the final project is rather large and is not broken down throughout the course.

She made English 202D online very simple. We had about 2 assignments and 1 quiz a week, all of which are easy. She didn't mess around with busy work, all work we did was relevant. Never actually met her, but she seems nice and helpful.
