Professor Aldrich really wants his students to learn Spanish, so if your are taking 116 to simply try to fulfill the requirement, I suggest you find a different professor. However, if you want to continue studying Spanish, he will prepare you the best for higher levels.

Professor Aldrich made a seemingly boring class into a fun one. Pay attention to his scoring rubrics and directions he gives for his essays and you'll do well on them. Be prepared for quizzes and tests that ask for specific details. Show up (and pay attention) in class or you might lose a lot of points. Great professor overall!

Prof Aldrich knows his subject matter and is interested in it, but his people skills are not so good. He can be sarcastic and at times rude and unclear and not always very helpful and he thinks that his class is the most important and expects everyone to do a ton of work all for his class only

Professor Aldrich is really into what he does, but he's such a hard nosed professor that it makes personal relations a little difficult. He also doesn't have very much empathy and tends to pick on the weak ones in class - turns up a little embarrassing..
