I got an A on the midterm, paper, and final but he gave me a B+ in the class because I had three absences. He couldn't cae less that I had to miss class because my car broke down on the freeway or because my kids were sick.

Good professor, yet really boring. He shows history channel videos. It's annoying that I paid so much for this class to watch videos. He is also a Nazi on attendance and showing up on time. If you miss class or are late, he will hate you and make it obvious.

Pretty good, interesting lectures. Mandatory attendance, but all the class has is an interview paper, a midterm, and a final. TAKE GOOD NOTES IN HIS CLASS to do well on his tests, but he talks fast so it's kinda hard. Although he grades tough, he is SUPER helpful on giving feedback of all changes needed to get the A on the paper and test questions.

He is a cool teacher but extremely boring!! The test questions are some what hard because they have to be extremely detailed and hes not the easiest grader. Not my favorite teacher but the class wasnt too hard for the work that was done. Grades hard though on the interview paper

can't even tell you how easy this class is. just go to class and pay attention. i never read a word of the text. he doesn't engage the class at all, just straight lecture. it gets pretty boring, but if you can actually focus and take very good notes, he gives you the questions from the test and you find the answers. write a lot on the test though.

Comment:

One of the best professors at this school. He really knows his material and is extremely intelligent. Makes good use of class time, and gives helpful outlines for each lecture. I rarely used the book - just took good notes - and I got an A. He gives great feedback also! I learned so much, Prof. Scott was funny and very fun to listen to. Great prof!

Good professor. Pretty easy and really interesting. Worked for the CIA and can speak French and Russian...his experience shows. Take his class if you can, you won't find a more interesting history prof

He is a great professor, lots of story and tape, his class is relatively easier than others, but one thing, you must go to every single class for 2 hours, no leave early, never class cancel, but you really learn, and find "fun" in history

Prof. Scott is great, especially if he finds you attractive. The class is pretty easy, but interesting. Sometimes I was disturbed with his fascination with the more risque side of history, but overall he's a good teacher and I learned a lot.

A really interesting class. It can feel like an eternity sometimes, though, 'cause he just lectures straight for 2 hours. Tests aren't bad, and neither is the paper. Covers material that most teachers don't (dark side of America).

Hard to open up, but great teacher. Touches on topics like slavery and Native American history that are often largely ignored. All you have to do is go to class and pay attention. Dry humor, which is funny once you recognize it.

He is a very nice guy, especially if you are cute. Very thorough explanations, good lectures, and comforting yet obtrusive personality. Very single...as in unmarried. Sit in the front row; it is difficult to stay awake in his class.
