Ive always had high marks in theory and little to no issues at all, but this prof is very hard to understand and is not compassionate to people that need extra assistance. He needs to realize that were still STUDENTS and learning is part of the process. His class was hard and the assignments were messy.

Robert is a tough marker but he is also a musical genius. He makes you work but hes also very accommodating. He is also hilarious and very welcoming!

One of the best teachers I've had. He wants his students to succeed, and expects them to put in the work needed to do so. Doesn't tolerate lazy students. Great sense of humour, easy to understand (I'm not French), and very helpful. He's very knowledgeable, and his classes are interesting.

He is extreemly rude, uses no textbook or powerpoint notes, bases his class on his personal opinions. His class is suppose to be taught in English (EL course code) but he like to talk in French, even though many students in the class can't understand it. He clearly favours French and Japanese students.

Comment:
Good prof, great sense of humour, and he manages to help you a lot if you need it. Some people find him insulting, but it's usually the people who don't put effort into their work. He pokes fun a lot, don't take it seriously.

One of the best teachers I have ever had. Sparked my interest in (classical) contemporary music, and knows his stuff. He is hardcore, so if you're a coaster be prepared to pay for it. He also lays down the truth so if you're not really doing your work, he won't sugar coat it for you.

Amazing guy with a great sense of humour. I've learned a lot from his theory classes and appreciate the work he does. Being a composer himself gives Lemay a greater advantage as a theory professor.

Very helpful, wants you to suceed and expects a lot out of you. This is a tough class and explanations are sometimes unclear. Often insults students (without realizing it). Be ready to work hard and learn lots.

He seems to forget some of his classes are in ENGLISH. I repeatedly asked him to respect the fact that I could not understand french, however he did not seem to care. He also was horribly mean. I almost quit because of him, and ended up with the second highest mark in his class. He should remember WHY he became an educator.
