I cant believe some of these other reviews. Professor Watson is such a sweetheart. Her class is easy, just follow the Sam Calendar. I recommend having a second monitor/computer or the physical textbook if youre taking this class LIVEONLINE. You cant see all the commands on word/ppt/excel if you have the screen split. Do training modules to pass.

The worst. She will NOT text you back if you have an urgent question, she tells her students to read the blog if we cant find something, the list goes on and on. Shes the worst. Dont take. The material doesnt make any sense, her weekly schedules are very unorganized, and she always seems to have an attitude when she responds to students.

One of the worst classes I've ever had. She doesn't teach her own material, she simply is a host for her blog and website. The material isn't difficult but she gives you excessive work. The website sucks. It looks like it's something out of the early 2000's. She can't calculate grades for the students. She makes you calculate it yourself. Terrible.

Confusing at first but once you get used to it, its the same every week. It is time consuming and you are given a lot of projects each week but if you do everything it is an easy A.

if you are NOT heavily experienced with a computer, Excel, and Access I would not recommend taking this class as an online course with Maryann. However, if you are, take this. It's a well organized class (honestly she tries so hard to make it easily understandable to non tech-savy students so it can get kind've confusing?) but you'll be fine.

Mrs. Watson's class, from the perspective of a comp/sci novice, ran a steadily paced class. Taking the Fall 2nd-half semester CIS100 seemed to keep the classroom lectures packed with instruction. Watch out for: 1. Cengage/ SAM assignments as they will bog down during finals. 2. Read her websites & set shortcuts 3. Participate 4. Never leave early

eh this class would be good if mary was more engaged with her students. I would recommend taking either a different professor or her online class. pretty confusing but you can self teach yourself in this class.

currently taking CIS111 Online, lot of work to be done, almost 100 assignments, very disorganized class, if you ask for help she answers go read the book! take someone else!!!

This class is easy if you know basics of using a computer (powerpoints, excel, and stuff). The only thing is that there is weekly assignments and if you like to put things off like me then it can be a lot to do and then you end up half-assing it rather than getting a good score. You need to buy the online program but I never once used the books.

Her class is extremely easy if you put in EFFORT. Her lectures are boring and she doesn't do anything about grading but assign tons of homework. The stuff that you do in class doesn't count toward your grade.

This class is super easy. I spent less than 1h/week to do her homework, and I didn't pay attention in class, but I still ended up with an A. I recommend this class to people needing to boost up their GPA. However, if you want to learn new things about computer, don't take this class 'cuz this class is only for novices.

This is the only time I felt the need to rate any professor, but this class was terrible. It is a very easy class, but she goes line for line from the text books during lecture and they are very boring. She does everything through "SAM" an online assignment program, but if there's any issues she is useless to help. Take this class online instead!

This professor is awful. I advice you to not take CIS 100, personally I learned more from the book than i actually did in class. I never payed attention in class because she would rant about things that had nothing to do with the class. I did all the assignments just by reading the book and finished 50 mins ahead of her. Waste of time.

Awful. Awful, awful, awful. Hours and hours of meaningless homework. You find out at the end of the semester she doesn't even count it toward your grade. She thinks she's a tough educator, but she is really just a jerk. This is the worSt class I have ever taken in my whole life. AWFUL.

Unless you are willing to spend all your waking hours doing homework for her class and ignore all your other classes, I would run away as far as possible. All her assignments are not clear and she plays favorites. Also, if you are not white, you will not do well. White skin, and you will get an A.

This class was soooooooo long and annoying! I LOVE computer ANYTHING...but i never wanna take a computer class again! She seems like a cute older lady that is super nice but she turns into a raging B****! She gives you MAJOR attitude and its so hard to give respect back when you're not given any! ugh! avoid at all costs!
