She is a good italian professor because she is fluent in English, therefore it is easier to get an explanation in english BUT she is super cold and a hard grader. You have to participate all the time. She is really disorganized. Least favorite italian professor. And super boring class and a lot of pointless homework.

Prof. Ray is a nice lady but not the cute little, caring, amazing Italian woman that I was use to teaching me in class. Honestly, she kind of killed Italian for me. She was nice but always seemed a bit cold. The class wasn't hard at all. Do the readings and participate in class and you'll do great!

Extremely helpful class. No English spoken in class, lots and lots of participation. She's not easy, but she's a fantastic teacher. If you're serious about Italian, you will love her!

Best Italian class I've ever taken. Ray is easy to understand because she's American and truly helps you to speak the language with all the conversation in class. Go to every class, speak up no matter what your skill level and hand in the easy assignments = A. I am definitely taking 305 with her in the future.

SO intelligent and super cool. she's quickly become one of my favorite professors at UD. there was a lot of reading and a lot of writing, but this class is supposed to be a 2nd writing requirement so that's expected. the only annoying thing was having to go to the library reserve room to get the readings. don't take this class if you're not willing

Prof. Ray is an extremely intelligent, cultured, and well-spoken woman. Sometimes she seems a little bit distanced and cold- but this might just be her idea of professionalism. This course was very interesting, but don't take it if you're not prepared to do a lot of reading and writing.

very nice professor, young so she can relate to you... gives a lot of work for a reason because she wants you to do well... just go to class and pay attention, she is amazing in office hours and will explain anything and everything you need... i hope she's returning in the fall.

a lot of people think that she isn't a good teacher but i think she is one of the best... she seems hard but that's b/c she wants you to to do well. she is so nice, go to her office houurs she's the best there.... def. an awesome teacher

cool teacher, can be a bit intimidating because she's young and speaks perfect italian, great teacher but this wasn't the best course for her to teach, we did a lot of grammar and not a lot of conversation... lots of work @ beginning of semester but it dies down.

She has the coolest clothes EVER! Other than that... great professor. Passionate about topic and knows a lot without overburdening students with useless info. Super helpful and patient with questions. Wants you to do well and express your opinion.

very helpful if you email her or go to office hours. class is a lot of work that you have to do. always had to go to the library to get readings off reserve which was sort of a pain in the neck, but overall a very interesting class.
