Comment:
I believe he could have made the course a little easier and more understandable for the students. The course became difficult because of the heavy readings that he assigned which goes on and on and pages after pages. Not everyone understands such difficult philosophical wordings and sentences. Other than that he is one of the best faculty members.

He's very knowledgeable and a very kind professor, but he gives such excessive and tediously annoying papers back to back. It will take you over 2-3 hours just to do his questions. It's conflicting because he's very nice but the excessiveness of the work makes me not like the class.

One of the most inspiring professors I've had in my college career. He always brings a very interesting convo to class. Participate and have fun, he's very open to your feedback. There are lots of readings but they are very easy reads and relevant to real life situations. Papers are easy as long as you keep up with readings and take notes in class.

Lots of reading his papers are tough and his expectations are a lot based on the book and essay he wrote. he is tough grader and gives lot of papers and forces group discussions. Doesnt give clear answers before exams and exams are little bit changed from the review sheet he gave. Take if no other choice

Menser really cares about his students. U have to read for almost every class, but can still get away without reading bc he goes over everything in class. You will however be lost during group work if you don't read. He tells you exactly what will be on the exam. 1 short paper and 10 page final paper. As long as you participate you will be fine!

Very fun professor, quizzes and tests are short answer but you are given a good idea of what to expect during review. Papers are simple, rewrites are allowed, and his grading is fairly lenient to begin with. Material is relevant, and he keeps it interesting. The one downfall is that he forces group discussion where it isn't really needed.

I love this professor. He is quite the character and he's been a professor at Brooklyn college for 20 years. I took him for environmental ethics and an independent study where I was 1/3 students due to tech error. He is awesome, very handsome, and intelligent. Don't slack with the readings and study them diligently

He is a tough grader. You MUST do all the readings for the class. He always wants more. Please don't take him if you don't have to, this class literally makes me want to pull my hair out. Also, I didn't like how he graded assignments he never explains why he takes extra points off. He's cool personality wise but you have been warned!!!

This is not and easy A class, however put in some effort and you can get one. readings are a bit tricky but he explains it. I enjoyed the class and the discussions in it, there may be easier teachers but you will definitely come out of the class feeling like you gained knowledge. hes also very helpful and answers all questions and will go over it

Wouldn't say he's a great professor. He seems like he would be a great professor, but dont' judge a book by its cover. Kind of full of himself. Not a very fair grader and takes forever with grades.

If you need to take this class, he's the professor to take! If you're simply fulfilling a core requirement, don't take this class. It is EXTREMELY boring and difficult. You cannot understand the material on your own. You have: 2 papers, midterm and final exam. He's organized, nice, funny, patient, and helpful.
