Great professor, if you want to really learn the material. She set me up to do great in my future math courses. Strict teaching style but it works,even if I'm not the biggest fan of it. Work and study hard and you'll be fine.

Comment:

The class is very fast moving so you have to show up to all class meetings. She gives very clear notes and if you do the homework you wont have any problems on the quiz she gives at the beginning of every class. Im someone who struggles with math and I got an A- so I really recommend taking mrs tubb.

Professor Tubbs is an awful teacher. If you struggle with math I suggest you do not take her AT ALL. She is very strict on attendance and her assignments. Assigns so much homework, and doesn't check any of it. Her class is very fast paced and you can tell she does NOT care about the students at all. If I could I would give her a 0.

Teaches as if she's a commanding drill sargeant. Very intense. Never seen her smile not once. Expects perfection and takes off points for a misspelled word. IN A MATH CLASS.

Prof. Tubbs is a caring woman outside of the class but when it comes to grading her expectations were a little ridiculous. 15 points off a quiz for not memorizing a definition to her words, even though it was clear I had an understanding of it. takes off lots of points for the most minor mistakes. doesnt collect homework but assigns a lot.

You will not be able to skip this class. The class is fast paced and difficult. Examples given in class and homework problems are easy compared to questions given on tests. Homework is given daily and takes hours to complete. Tests are very difficult and the class average is usually a 60. This class requires a lot of time and is hard to manage.

Very point happy style of grading. Deducts points for anything. Expects perfection. Unrealistic. Tests are very hard and not like homework. The only math teacher that makes you memorize definitions of theorems and terms and tests you on them. Avoid.

Best teacher ever!!!! She cares about those who try. Doing the hw is key but she doesnt collect it. You wont pass with a good grade if you dont practice hw. Explains lecture very well. You will like math with her! This is for any of her math classes. Shes the best!

Mrs. Tubbs is by far the best Math teacher I have ever had. I will work my schedule around having her as a teacher any time I can. You must do the work but she explains everything in great detail, giving you all the steps and then going into detail about what each step means. I am excited to be taking her again this Fall

The one thing I can say about Mrs. Tubbs is that she is very straight forward. You know what to expect from her and know what she expects from you. She goes over all the steps needed for the current subject, in clear order, then goes over a good amount of examples. I took her for summer 1 and wish I had her for summer 2.

Shes very strict & to the point! She goes through lectures rapidly and does few examples. She doesnt want you writing notes in class and makes you print them. Most people do better when writing their own notes in class rather than looking at a print out. Her style of teaching is not efficient in my prospective. Exams are tricky and nothing like HW.

Great professor! Most of class is spent in lecture, and she moves quickly enough that you won't doze off. Nightly homework is optional, although she gives four statdisk assignments that must be handed in. There are three tests and a cumulative final, and although they are long and intensive, they are absolutely doable. Kind and willing to help.

Very good Math Teacher but if your late she will make u state your reason in front of the entire class and than take points off your final grade for it but otherwise she is the best and will help u during office hours if u need it

Mrs Tubbs was great! She was attentive and loud which kept me focused during class. She truly cares for all her students and clearly loves her job. Just keep up with the weekly homework and review the notes and you'll be fine. She is clear cut with harder math problems she expects you to know in class by demonstrating them. Highly recommend!

Be prepared for homework. She gives you homework every night (unless there is a quiz or test the next class meeting) The majority of the class period is for notes and a few problems that go along with the notes. I was always pretty solid with math but the way she taught just wasn't my style.
