Comment:

Completely distant from the online curriculum. Does not give a calendar to follow, you have to make one yourself. Gives my reminders that everything is due on the last day of the semester and that's about all the support you will get from him. Good for independent learners, not the hands on type. Also a lot of reading on screen and Cisco videos.

I am pretty sure Mr. Ciena was pushed to far with the amount of classes he was teaching because his online class was very disorganized and not clear on instructions or expectations. I picked him and dropped the other class I was enrolled in because of these reviews. Was pretty disappointed.

He doesn't waste time on the useless parts, gets right to the points and focuses on real world application. Very flexible, didn't have to show in class other than final. I wish I could take him for the rest of the cisco classes.

He is teaches real world applications. If you want someone who teaches from the book, he is not the professor for you. I took the Session A Class so it was fast paced. You have to go to every class. Read the book and take the online test on your own time and you will get an A with no problem. Didn't need textbook, it's online.

Prof. Ciena is very knowledgeable and eager to help students understand the material and what he expects out of them. 90% of grade comes from practical and final exam. Highly recommend for any Cisco class.

Excellent. Cisco classes are not the average class, Nobodys gonna help you if you dont ask and take it and re-ask. Its up to us to know it not up to the teach. Knows his stuff, not afraid to admit something he doesnt know. Not arrogant. Very dedicated to helping students who show they need it.Funny easy going in class not uptight like other profs.

Professor Ciena made all classes very exciting with his enthusiasm. His experience in the business world helped us to understand real challenges which definitely expanded our knowledge on the subject. Besides, he was always making sure that all doubts were clarified. I recommend him as a great instructor and I would take another class with him.

Knows CISCO inside and out. Allowed freedom for students to interact and collaborate on projects. He was able to answer and expand on all my questions. A handful of students had a hard time (could tell they'd have problems regardless of teacher). Jeopardy-like game from Cisco Labs made it fun.
