THE ANSWERS TO PACKET TRACER AND THE CISCO TESTS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET. I took a class for networking with Mr. Delgado and very little of the work was original, it was not hard to complete the class. That said, if you have to take Delgado for this course, absolutely write down all the CLI commands just in case.

In this course, Mr. Delgado focuses on creating VMs and having students work with different OS's (Windows, macOS, and Linux). In this CompTIA A+ course, I believe that we could have focused a lot more on what to expect from the 220-1002 exam. As well as practicing what the PBQ (Performance Based Questions) would be like.

Mr. Delgado's lectures are based on his experience and real-world application of the skills needed to succeed. In this CompTIA A+ course, I believe that we could have focused a little bit more on what to expect from the 220-1001 exam. Specifically practicing what the PBQ (Performance Based Questions) would be like.

When he actually teaches, its amazing! He is an expert! Sadly, we spent so much time hearing stories and random facts that have nothing to do with the class. He gave maybe 2 relevant lectures. You are on your own for the quizzes and final (100-Q) exam. Most of the answers aren't even found in the powerpoints provided on canvas or in the textbook.

I had him for CET 1178 & 1179. He is enjoyable to talk to and very knowledgeable. Fair and understanding as well. Very reasonable when it comes to grading. However, I took these classes hoping to gain enough knowledge to pass the A+ exam, which did not happen. Most of the material was not covered (unless you asked). But overall he was great

I love this teacher but the course wasn't very easy to follow there were items posted that contradicted what the syllabus said. I have asked the teacher if I achieved what I needed to for the lab requirement and I haven't gotten a response yet. The lab instructions are not listed very clearly. Make sure you triple check instructions.

Honestly, he is awesome teacher if you are taking his class for credit. However; if your aim is to take this class and then pass A+ exam, you are looking for a wrong professor. We had many hands-on activities (Especially VM) . He likes to talk because he has really good variety of knowledge about IT. You can get an easy A. He is AWESOME!

John is a very experienced and awesome professor! He teaches very relaxed as if everyone knows how to log into a computer and browse the web and have fun on the computer. This computer class' lecture time mostly is history of the computer and how it leads to modern computing. This is a very interesting class if you want to do A+ cert or have fun.

Excellent. Very patient & honest. Willing to answer any questions. Explains things in a simpler way that is easy to understand, regardless of the topic. I'm terrible with numbers but when he thoroughly explained binary & ip addresses, I actually understood all of it! Really enjoyed his Networking class, lectures & humor. Easy A. Highly recommend.

Easily distracted but will talk about interesting things all class long. A few article reviews and simple test. He will help with anything even non-class related topics if asked. He is an odd person but tries to have fun teaching the class to keep students engaged and pass his large amount of knowledge on to those that are willing to listen to him

The teacher was extremely helpful and was always available to help any students who needed it. He is very straight forward about the work and will never try to mislead you in any way.

A VERY easy A. Quizzes are open-book, and there were literally TWO assignments-- both of which I did not complete.. yet I still earned a "B". I could have easily gotten an A had I "tried" a tiny bit more. Professor Delgado is there for any and all questions you have, and you can afford to miss a couple of classes. Overall he is super helpful !

Delgado is a very nice person and has a quirky personality. I personally did not really learn much in his class. But i also have a background in computers but he does tend to go off on a tangent "ooo magnifying tool" lol. I just think it would be better if he used a different teaching approach that more addressed teaching students vs just talking.

Comment:

Delgado is a great guy who tries to engage his students and inform them as much as he can. Any class by Delgado is almost a guaranteed A. Prepare to have your ear talked off and hear the words "actually" and "interesting" A LOT.

MR Delgado is an EXCELLENT professor. He cares about each one of his students and will set up face to face meetings if you are taking an online class if you need to see him for anything. He is very clear and works with you to make you fully understand everything. He is a very understanding person and will work with you on any issue's that may arise
