Comment:

Murray is unique. He may seem 'all knowing' but don't mistake confidence with arrogance! He's not. He really wants you to understand. Yes his classes and teaching are difficult. Yes, he includes biochemistry (which should be part of the EX Phys program). His understanding of true science is off the charts. He is very sarcastic.

Way ahead of his time. I took HLED 210, back in 2004. The only professor during my undergraduate years that caused me to remember everything from his lectures. I truly wish all professors were as detailed as he is. Thank you Mr. Ardies, it's been 14 years but I can still talk about digestion and it's process because of you. Cheers!

I do believe that he is smart, but he is not good as instructor. He always challenges the students, and make them feel bad. He always show his students that he is smarter than them? The students came to learn, not to go through challenges with professor. He believes that he is the smartest person in the world, however, he was rejected from 3 univ

No textbook needed, he teaches off the top of his head. He is amazing and very smart and absolutely knows his stuff, with this being said, theres no way you can pass this class without showing up and taking notes on what he's saying. Grade is based only only tests he gives out every week, and once you get the hang of the test you can get by easily

Very hard grader. A very knowledgeable person but not very good at explaining things the class. Only bases class grades on tests and is not very funny or jolly. I would not recommend taking him if you need class for graduation

He is insane!!!!!!!!!! Not helpful at all, way too difficult wants you to learn everything the biochemistry way when its exercise science. Super confusing, unrealistic expectations. One of the worst teachers I have EVER had in my life. But hes cool outside of class and nice just as a teacher he is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!! Avoid at all costs

I knew that 307 would be intense. Tests were every other week and were all essays on the covered material. He is an awesome guy and very smart. Slackers beware. If you show a clear grasp of the material enough to teach it to someone else, you have your A. He explains everything and makes sure all understand. Hang in there. It will all click.
