Oswaldo Garcia is a funny and caring professor. His test are the most hardest things in the world if you don't prepare for it. He uses the I-clicker which goes toward your grade- so show up! He post lectures online, but its better to understand in person. He offers tons of extra credit, and sometimes even for showing up! He's great but tough!

He's a great professor; he not only cares for every student but does offer extra credit. He believes in the statement, " Work hard and you'll get what you earned." His quizzes/ midterms are tough but attendance helps (iclicker). Sometimes he'll give "pop quizzes" certain days, when not many show up; but its really extra credit. Highly recommend!

YOU DO NOT NEED THE BOOK. I opened it once. if that. His lectures are hard to understand because hes not great at explaining such a huge topic he clearly knows very well but doesnt understand WE don't know it. But extra credit helps. Also show up he grades on attendance. Nice guy.

He is a passionate guy. The tests and quizzes are hard but going to his office hours definitely help. He will make things clear. I would take this course again simply because he made it super interesting and his passion for it just rubs off on you. the class examples are great because he does visuals. also, don't have your phone out or laptop out!!

Oswaldo is a great guy, but he isn't the best teacher in the world. I know he's passionate about the field, and he definitely knows what he's talking about, but he has a hard time conveying it to people who know nothing about the intricacies of weather. Participation is a huge chunk of your grade, so I wouldn't recommend skipping class.

He really really knows his stuff! Buy your Iclicker but I never opened my book. His lectures pretty much covers everything. He makes himself available if you need help. A lot of people struggle on the tests because they don't ask questions or pay attention in class. He's a very smart guy and when you start to get it you'll be very proud of yourself

Professor is really nice and I strongly suggest going to his office hours because he helps a lot if one is confused. Gives extra credit. Some tests might be difficult but he stresses the fact that everyone needs to go over those and study to prepare for extra credit quiz that is based on the tests and raise one's grades. Doesn't curve the tests.

Professor Garcia is very nice guy. He is very passionate about meteorology. The class is very easy and manageable as long as you care. The only negative thing I can say about him is that he lets other students disrespect him and in doesn't do anything to students that are disruptive in the class.

Loved him. He is such a nice guy and super passionate about what he teaches. The class itself was a little boring because all he did was lecture from powerpoint slides. He gives extra credit opportunities, only had a couple online homework assignments which are creditno credit, 2 midterms, and 3 quizzes (he drops one), and a final. Def recommend.

he is such a great professor and genuinely cares about the subject as well as his students success in the class. At the end of the semester he gives you so many opportunities to bring your grade up. Lectures are a little boring but he tries to make them fun.

I had a great time taking Prof. Garcia's Dynamic Weather course. He is extremely knowledgable of meteorology and connects a lot of current weather situations to his lectures. Tests were kind of hard, but he included some interesting extra credit assignments to help make up for unsatisfactory grades. Overall cool and interesting class.

Encourages visiting during office hours. He wants us to pass the class above all. His lectures can be boring, but he does upload a copy on i learn. the majority of us did bad on his first 2 tests, but he did offer extra credit and arrangements to make it work in our favor. Just study the power points and talk to him one on one and you'll do fine.

he's very helpful and understanding but the course is not how i expected it to be so i failed the midterm and i just withdrew the class. if you're interested in weather events in different place, take his class. he's very knowledgeable but unclear most of the time. tests are multiple choice. many of us didn't do well but some got As.

Worst class ever. He can't stay on topic and the whole class averaged a D on both midterms. His study guide doesn't even help, and his lectures are really boring. He knows what he's talking about, but he can't teach. This is suppose to be an intro class, but he expects you to know all of this based on his horrible power points. Don't take this clas

Really nice prof but I felt like he took forever to get to the point. However, he is very helpful and will gladly clarify anything that you dont understand. Grade based on attendance, 3 tests, 1 paper, 1 outline (for the paper). Tests were difficult but he assigned extra credit that significantly boosted your final grade!

I was excited for this class, and Prof. Garcia is too. You can tell he is very passionate about the material but has poor organization skills. Learning material was all over the place and it was difficult to take notes. He really cares about his students, but I only recommend taking this class if you have to. 2 tests and one essay

If you're desperate for a GE course, then take this class. Otherwise, avoid it. Professor Garcia is nice and all, but the class was close to UNBEARABLE. I had to force myself to go to class. Save your money and don't buy the textbook. I got by just fine without it.
