Dr. Hogan is the best. She emphasizes the learning process over right/wrong and goes out of her way to host review sessions based around the students' schedules almost every week. She really makes navigating a hard class much easier.

She's really boring, you'll basically sit through her lectures and fall asleep. Her class is definitely challenging, you have to know a lot of information and you have be in class because participation is part of the grade. You have to do a service project too. Her midterm and her homeworks are long and hard. Good Luck if you want to take her class

If you have an answer that is wrong on an exam, but you at least answered a little fraction that was right, or show that you at least know the material but messed up somewhere, or made an error, you dont even get partial credit. Flat out 0.

I took Organic Chemistry with her and she was a great professor. She is dedicated to her students and does all she can for you. The class still requires a TON of outside work on your own or you wont pass, but its the same for any professor. Would definitely recommend her. People who don't like her are the ones who want her to do all the work.

She's awful. She won't grade your stuff til the very end, she isn't clear, she assigns way too much work. She even gave us work that wasn't related to research (the topic of the class) or science (it's a high level chemistry course). Avoid her.

Class starts off slow, but then gets better as it goes along. If you're a business major and need to take a creativity and innovation class, I highly recommend this course. Decent workload towards the end of the semester, however, you learn a lot! Worth taking!!!

I cannot believe the amount of material this class requires, especially because it is for non-science majors. I have more work for this class than my three other classes combined. Slideshows and lectures cover 75% of material on quiz at most. Far too much work required. I have heard this class was manageable with another professor...

Great professor she really cares about her students. If you want to take a class where you will learn then take her class. The work load is a lot but if you do it you will take a lot out of her class. I highly recommend her for anyone who is a motivated student. She is also a really great connection she knows a lot of people who work in Boston

Hated this class. Dreaded going. She could get easily sidetracked. I had more work for this one credit course than my four credit courses. She gave a lot of extensions for papers. But the reading was difficult and boring. I plan on avoiding any classes with her if I can help it.

DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!! she is super demanding, assignments EVERY WEEK, and doesn't able to cater students' need.the tests are fair but she takes points off of stupid stuff. in the end you'll end up 1 score below. this class sabotage my times a lot, many people are frustated, especially if you're not CAS student. i'd prefer a lab class!!

Also took The Built World, some of the material is very useful. She gets really into the subject and can ramble on. There is a lot of writing she assigns but her tests are easy if you study. I recommend this class if you need to take a 4 credit science class

I took The Built World, which I would recommend. There was a far amount of writing to do, but it was graded fairly. Her classes tend to be boring, she does like to talk a lot, but if you find the material interesting it is okay. Consider this course as a good alternative to a lab science.

She gave a decent amount of reading, however it is mixed with a lot of films. She laughs a lot and is fairly laid back. Because of the nature of the class (Freshman Seminar) she cared a lot for the students. The final was a little much although during the week little writing was required. Would take her again.
