Comment:

I had to take this class online and heard great things about her in-class lectures. However, this course is extremely tedious. For every chapter you are given textbook readings, articles to read, content videos to watch, and lecture videos to watch. I went into the course knowing it would be a lot of work, but it was so much more than I expected.

Comment:

Dr. Knowles did a fine job of being accessible to students and making it clear what material was going to be emphasized and tested. I took the online version of this class and found it was an easy A. Doing all the homework and weekly extra credit is essential, don't get behind and this class shouldn't be a problem.

Don't take this class online! It's a massive undertaking as an online course. You'll read about 750 pages and take quizzes on every little detail. Plus, you're only allotted 6 days per chapter (not even a week) so you're always reading. I know the material, but I won't get an A because that's for people who cheat or have photographic memories.

Comment:

This class was pretty easy. There is a lot of homework every week but it really helped cushion my grade and helped me learned the material. She is very kind over email and was quick to respond! Pay attention on the homework and study a quizlet set online before the exams and you will do well.

She is a very nice person, but she gets off topic so much in class that it is hard to pay attention. She also spends a large portion of class repeating things from the last class for people who weren't there, which I think isn't fair for those who actually go to class. She is very knowledgable, but she could use lecture time much more efficiently.

She rambles for hours and the lectures dont really matter for the tests or homework. Have to use McGraw Hill online thing which is expensive. Don't think I have really learned anything. Takes attendance but doesnt count for anything.

Online course, pretty easy but a bit boring. Tests and quizzes came down to remembering a mountain of vocal. Would be very hard if you don't use the textbook for the tests. Text book has very long chapters, hard to get through. Overall, okay class but you probably want to take it in a classroom, not online. She was helpful and nice in emails though

I took her for 423 and I now have her for 429. Despite her loopy tendencies, she is so nice and helpful. I don't know why people put frownie faces for her - it's not her fault that you're lazy. Take Dr. Knowles - not terribly difficult, just do the study guides. She's great.

Terrible teacher. I took this class online over the summer. All we had was our textbooks and she made the online tests unbelievably more difficult than they had to be. She used tricky wording, unclear answer options, and just generally made the class alot more confusing/difficult than it should have been. Worst decision i made at clemson.

Very Easy. all quizzes are right off the online book site so jsut print them off and memorize them. she gets off topic an dlikes to tell stories a lot, but if you read the chaters, there is no problema and a very easy A. very willing to help out adn around your schedule too. i went to concerts and she let me reschedule a test.

Tests are easy, but you have to do 3-4 outside assignments that you should get 100 just for doing, but she grades them pretty hard. Attendance is not mandatory and she gives quizzes for extra credit, but one of the most boring classes I've ever had.

Has a PhD, but one of the worst teachers I've had. Talks about how she used to test on animals all the time, and also tells useless 30 min stories during class. Tests are way harder than they should be. Do not take this woman if you can avoid her.
