I'm sitting in her class now and she's so boring that i felt the need to rate her. so far our only grade is our first exam and it's halfway into October. even though we're in the middle of a pandemic, she does not make her slideshows public. either don't take this class or take it with someone who won't make you want to fall asleep every lecture.

I'm not understanding why everyone on her gave this prof. such a bad rating. If you read all the assigned readings, take notes in class, and don't miss a class you can pass this class easily with an A. Everyone whos complaining just doesn't want to put in the work. The group project she assigns is SOOOOO EASYYYYY, read a book and answer questions

Had her in multicultural psychology. She was very boring, slow, and quiet. She likes to test you on very specific stuff barely touched on in class. For example she asked a question on the price of a R.I. public bus ticket, in reference to poor people. WORST OF ALL she put my grade in the system as a C when I recieved a B, and I had to tell her.

For a multicultural, she made it hard to learn & enjoy the class with how she gives notes. You don't show up - you won't get notes otherwise. Gives very few things to grade on & her exams are difficult. Not very loud when teaching so she's hard to hear. Her notes aren't detailed so if that bothers you, then don't take her class. Reading is okay.

Bombards you with information during lecture without giving you enough time to write everything down. Doesn't post any slides on Sakai, so make sure you write absolutely everything down that she says (which is impossible). Doesn't give you access to slides EVEN if you're registered with student disability services. Try taking with a different prof.

Try to take this class with another professor if you can. Her exam questions are nothing from the lectures. The test questions are based on reading between the lines, so you could memorize the notes and still not do well on tests. She is very vindictive and won't throw you a bone. Don't bother to go over exam w/ her bc she wont change your grade.

Professor Rogers test structure is extremely vague, so prepare to know your stuff. She'll give similar names to confuse you, also, she structures her test like A: specific answer B: specific answer C: both A & B D: neither A or B. There is no book and there is a group project. Life Hack: Double Check group Work asks for specific directions.

Not uncommon to spend two-three class periods on the same topic that could be taught in half a class session. Lectures can be dull, but she utilizes TED talks and other media which is helpful. Doesn't use a textbook which is cool but it's hard to learn content that is presented unenthusiastically.

No homework and only 2 exams. NO FINAL! Its a really easy class if you write good notes. You have to write every thing she has on her power points!!! If she repeats something write it down!!! Don't ask questions and have your essays in on time. Other than that if your smart you will pass! I got a B :)

Avoid at all costs. She is so boring and just reads off the power point. Exams were common sense but most the questions were on material that was not in the notes. I took this class as an easy elective and ended up doing worse than my upper level, harder core classes. She is rude and does not care about the students.

The first exam had mostly definitions, she doesn't give you study guides and each exam is about 5 or 6 chapters including articles. There are only two homework assignments and an essay which aren't too bad. As a professor, she uses a lot of examples to explain the topic but mainly focuses on the PowerPoints.

She is unclear, rude, makes you uncomfortable, and doesn't even teach anything relevant during class. Laughs at inappropriate times. Doesn't teach anything from the book, and spends way too much time getting off topic. DO NOT take this course with this professor. She is ridiculous. She puts random, unimportant questions on tests. Do. Not. Take.

I loved the class no homework and only 2 projects but very easy! a midterm and final exam only which i found very easy. Just memories the vocal and your pretty much all set :) I got a 88 on the midterm exam and only studied for a weekend! She's very stroked on due dates for project... don't ask her to many questions!

I found myself taking notes out of the book during this class, and it was more informative and helpful than her PowerPoints with notes on them. She wastes a lot of class time, if you ask a question she won't answer it right away, she laughs awkwardly and then asks the class to answer for her. I ended up teaching myself so I would skip class.

This professor is by far the worst I have had in my 3 years at URI. Is not understanding when you have an emergency. Very unclear about the subject matter, and have to attend out of class environmental activities that do not pertain to the subject at all. I would suggest taking this class with the alternate professor.

You can learn a lot in this class but she's so arrogant it makes it hard to attend and listen to her.She expects your full dedication so make sure you have the time! She will put you on the spot if you haven't been in class or aren't paying attention & wait until you come up with something to say. Exams are so hard & she's never clear about anything

Not a bad class, but there was a lot of outside work that didn't pertain to the subject at all. You don't have to go to class but she doesn't make it easy to take notes and study if you don't.

Do not take classes with Rogers. If she has the slightest thing against you, she will take it out on you. She will find any excuse to bust you. She is not very smart for a professor, she is vindictive, and extremely rude. Do not take her class unless you can bow down and kiss her feet.
