He talks relatively quickly. Notes must be good and comprehensible. Get a duplicate of his previous exams. He is a lazy and apathetic professor. Doesn't really care about the students but he'll answer your questions.

Hes a nice guy, just goes fast. Make sure you can take quick notes. Definitely get a hold of past tests for his exams, they make up at least half the questions. Just make sure to study every bit for the tests.

I really enjoyed having Hart as a professor. He talks really fast so you should but a recorder to relisten and pause. he goes into great detail about everything and the tests are specific but if you really understand your notes you should be fine. he will spend as much time as you want answering questions and helping you understand

Class is difficult. Uses old Cells textbook a lot. Take very good notes, then go through notes and textbooks to fill in the gaps. Study EVERY single detail for the tests. Something you don't think is important will probably be on the test. If you have any questions Hart is always willing to take class time to explain things better.

Prof. Hart isn't too bad. His class is very difficult and he says a lot because there is a lot of material. Recording the lectures is a good idea. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK, it was a huge waste of money! You must take really clear notes. Get old tests from people you know, he uses the same questions.

Dr. Hart's exams are EXTREMELY difficult & precise, so make sure you read the notes thoroughly. All material from exams are from lecture notes, but make sure you write fast in class because he talks really fast. Also,dont buy the book, I only used it to look at figures. Its possible to do well though, I got an A-. Just work hard and youll do fine!

You must attend every class, and you really need to record his lectures to catch everything he says. The tests are only on lecture notes, but you need the textbook for the figures. He uses the figures from the book for lectures and tests. Try to get the old tests from someone. He uses some of the same questions every year. Good luck.

He's a pretty good teacher, impossible to find in office hours and doesn't respond to email. Plan to attend every class and take diligent notes because exams are based completely off lectures and almost nothing in the book. The tests are difficult & theres no extra cred. All in all, he doesn't really teach with a lot of heart, he just does his job.

One of the worst professors I've ever had. Exams are based on whatever comes out of his mouth. There are about 5 pp slides per class, none of which he'll put online for student use. Does not go by the book, so don't bother buying it. He makes exams incredibly specific, and getting a good score on any of them is unlikely. Overall pretty useless.

very bad man! Three exams. Getting an A in any one of those is unlikely. He has to curve on every exam. Why? Because his lecures are the worse in the department: very very unorganized. very unorganized guy. He talks all day long, so you don't know what to write down. you don't really know what to focus your attention on for the exams. He really has no office hour, even though he posted the hours in the syllabus: You just can't find the guy. He is always hidding in the back, speaking on the phone about his personal business.

Tough class.. TONS of information. 3 exams, a final and recitation make up your grade. Exams are only from his lectures and powerpoints. Take detailed notes, because the questions can get tricky. Managed to get a C my first time around, but I've never worked SO hard for a grade before.

Hart plays favorites & typically gravitates towards attractive females. Inconsistancy in grading, no feedback, hard to follow, speeds through lectures, overall bad choice. He only uses the book for figures, so study from your notes. He also makes you do an annoying poster project for Genetics, even though it is not considered and O requirement.

I've had this man for three semesters, and he may seem nice but hes really an ****. really, no joke. he grades inconsistently, provides no useful feedback, and the class is very unorganized. he also does not follow the book, and is hardly ever available for futher explaination. if you can help it STAY AWAY

Good teacher, but impossible to find outside of class for help, and he seemed to be a very finicky grader when it came to exams and lab reports. He'd take 3 points off for one person, and 1 for another, and 2 for a third. Made it hard to figure out what exactly he was looking for.
