Comment:

I took his Control Systems Theory class and grad level Power Electronics course back in 2007-2008. I concur with some of the comments that he may be unorganized per se, but he drives home the important ideas for a reason. Control theory is fractal, it can be abstracted to understand all kinds of complex systems.

This guy is an awesome teacher. Seems scatter brained and unorganized, but he repeats key ideas over and over, so it's stuck in your brain . Knows his stuff and is funny and personable.

It is an interesting subject to learn but he has to make it boring. No textbook required as he gives out handouts every class meeting. Very unclear in his lectures. Students around aim for a good grade rather than learn the subject. The class is a waste of time with him. He is knowledgeable but wont help you even when during his office hours.

He is very passionate about his subject and he tends to share time with students to help. However, he is messy and sometimes confused during lectures. He is constantly late for his office hours. He is a graduate coordinator and should have separate hours for that instead of mixing with students from his courses. Other than that, he is nice and kind

SJSU is lucky to have him. He can teach control like no one else. I had been attempting to learn this material for some time before taking the class, his expertise and enthusiasm greatly simplify the entire topic. Solid knowledge of both modern and classic control theory seems attainable in his presence. He extends the topic beyond ME,EE and CHE

This class is rather scattered and comes straight from the brain of Reischl. The book is useless, he only gives credit for the way he does problems. He says he doesn't curve but at the end he will. ONly hope: Get old exams and homework. They are the same! Final will kill you. This class can be overwhelming and it is pure memorization.

Peter Reischl. One of the most interesting characters on this campus. Honestly, it is a hit or miss in this class. If you actually sit down and try to understand the hw, understand his lectures, and ask questions in his office hours. You shouldnt have a problem. All his tests are fair game. But in regards to application, 132 is sort of fuzzy

you have to take this core course and he is the only one teaching it. but his class is extremely easy! get his past exams and you will get above 90. his HW are the same for years... Vzzzzzzzz, his lectures are good. On the rooot locus, not on the rut locus :):)

ZZZZZZ, He loves me hes loves me not. The guy is hopeless. Get the previous midterms and dont ask for help because he is a jerk in his office. Prof. Peter is a useless teacher! P.S. Even if you get 100% on the 2nd test you'll still get a B in the class so just give up. good luck suckas!

Incoherent and unconvincing. He messes up and needs help from the students to finish his own problems in class and then gives you no credit on tests for attempting the same questions. Avoid him like the plague.
