Comment:
Professor Napoli is good with new software that is useful for online classes during COVID. Responding in a very timely manner is his forte. He explains and clarifies things vividly and clearly. This course is very time-consuming and a lot of assignments but the professor is not a tough grader and helps a lot with extra credit assignments.

Napoli is a professor that genuinely cares and is easy to approach if you have any questions whatsoever. He is a great lecturer and is always able to keep the class engaged. There is a good amount of work he wants done but that is expected in a college level course. Oh and I think you will really appreciate the pizzas he brings in for the class.

Napoli is great, whole lecture is just him talking he loves talking about what he teaches. Minimal work throughout the semester (300 wd journals weekly to simple questions) but you will have two ten pg final exam papers. Still he is an easy grader and very caring. Bought the class pizza 3 times just because. Also will always help you if u need it

Prof. Napoli is a fantastic lecturer and knows his stuff. In his pop culture class, not only does he cover various forms of popular culture, but he also incorporates theory into his arguments. Easy grader but labor intensive class. Journal once a week, one research project, one group project, one final paper, and a normal amount of reading. Take

Lots of work but this is a college history course so this is to be expected. Don't come to class and expect an easy A. Napoli makes you work for the grade and if you prove to him that you are doing the work and putting in effort, you won't be disappointed with your grade.

Professor Napoli is like the wikipedia of his field. He is very precise in his lectures and you can tell how passionate he is when he discusses the subject matters. There will be lots of reading assignments and academic papers you may need to finish throughout the semester but as long as you put in effort, you will definitely get a good grade.

Professor Napoli would be the gym of the History Department. He's open-minded and gives you more than enough chances to speak to him if you feel you need extra help outside the classroom. Would definitely recommend.

First day of class we didn't have AC in the classroom and he canceled the class saying that we as students don't deserve this type of treatment when we're paying. He is the best prof I've ever had in BC. He cares about his students so much to the point where he gives ext. credits just so that you can boost up to an A. You won't regrade taking him.

This is a Professor who LOVES his material and shows it! Class participation is a must, so read everything that was assigned (yes, it's a lot, but it's a history course, what did you expect) and be prepared to discuss! Only assigned 3 shorter papers, the term paper, and a cumulative final. Great class, great guy!

This course that this professor was instructing involves a lot of reading, a lot of participation, a lot of writing through academic papers, and a lot of oral history, which he was clearly interested when he teaches any course. His lectures are excellent, he answers every single question his students asked to him, and he is a decent grader at best.

Yes there is work, we're in college. There are three 2-4 page papers and a weekly journal. There are also two tests and a final. Remember this: you don't have to read everything, just enough to write the papers and journals.

Very caring about his students and a nice man overall. The class itself is easy except for the final project. As long as he sees that you're working hard he's ok with what your project turns out to be. He will give you the grade you deserve based on the project, participation, & peer reviews. Students who complain are just bitter. Take him!

Doesn't ask for much, takes attendance on first day then forgets to after that. Read docs and know the ideas behind the chapters - I missed most of class, pulled all nighters b4 midterm & final, wrote papers the way he wanted and I got an A-. Very nice/understanding/flexible - you have to work a little bit but I def reccommend - very nice guy

This professor will act nice and caring the entire semester, and then will hit you with a grade that probably didn't deserve. He wants to try new things with the class, but keep in mind, your grade will get sacrificed. If you can avoid it, don't take him. If not...get ready for a shocker once grades come in.
