Loved Dr. Harvey! I had him for Social Psych, and the way he taught was so entertaining. He loves engaging with students and is very accepting of all situations. High-quality professor and one of my favorite college classes.

Comment:

Dr. Harvey's class is great, he makes it interesting. 1 online quiz per class, midterm & final, 2 short papers, & weekly discussion posts. Attendance not taken, but he collected name cards & pulled helpers each class. He's hilarious & tells stories from his life that relate to chapter. Suggest going to talk to him during office hours, helps a lot

Comment:

Funny, helpful, clear, engaging, intelligent, experienced, caring, knowledgeable. Best professor I've had in my college experience!! Reach out to him outside of class and pick his brain--he knows his stuff. Don't even CONSIDER another professor. 11/10 Class is way below average in difficulty for a sophomore level class, but don't slack. Engage.

I love Dr. Harvey. This is his first time teaching the Research Methods class and he does really well! He knows a lot about a lot. It's mostly group work because it's a capstone class, but there are a few tests. The tests are pretty easy. However, this class as a whole is a lot of work.

Dr. Harvey responds rudely to students concerns. He assigns "journals" for each class period, but they are more like papers. They are not graded fairly and if you didn't understand something in class it's almost impossible to look up. Teaching style is nearly impossible to follow. Only SLU psychology teacher I did not like.

AMAZING professor and so funny and entertaining. I look forward to his class. The only in class assignments are the midterm and final and he gives study guides with the questions. The rest are artifacts (super easy) and online quizzes from the readings (also super easy). Easy to get an A as long as you keep up with your due dates!

Dr. Harvey is a fantastic professor! He has been teaching over 20 years and knows his stuff! Look out though--he won't tell you that you need to turn in things, he expects you to know when and how to turn things in! So watch the syllabus!!! Gives extra credit and has weekly quizzes over the reading--READ IT!! Quizzes can be tricky!

Dr. Harvey is a great psychologist and is willing to share his knowledge with students should they come with questions. His classes are a mix of humor and practical examples that really help with understanding. He's a great professor and I would take him again.

Dr. Harvey is a great social and IO psychologist. He is also a great professor and is very helpful in expanding upon and explaining topics if need be. His tests are straight off his lectures and he may even give you the test questions ahead if time if you're lucky.

Dr. Harvey is the head of the graduate program at SLU, needless to say he knows his stuff. Extremely funny, great lecturer, and very laid back. Tons of extra credit opportunities. Super nice guy. I highly recommend him!

Best professor ever! Gives extra credit. He's funny and such an easy class. IDK why he has bad reviews. Take him! Class will raise your GPA. He gaves us the actual mid term as a study guide. No excuse to not pass!

His social psychology class is ridiculous! He is so unclear about what he wants, and you can study for hours for a test and still fail! I have never received anything below an A in any other psych class and I got a C in his. A previous comment was completely accurate about having to read HIS logic, no matter how hard you work.

Comment:

This teacher gives rediculous busy work. He prides himself on tring to make his students think critically, but his tests are a poor attempt. Basically, to get an A on his tests, you must be able to read HIS logic. He does not care if you know the material or if you recognize it in real life.
