Professor Rick Alley is one of the best Professors on campus. He always understands the situations your going through outside of class and always inspires you to keep going. He is excellent in English literature and well knowledgeable on how to help a student. I'd take him a million times over if I could. I highly recommend him!

The best teacher I ever had and even made me change my major. He's compassionate and you get 100% if you try. Recommend him for any class because I've had four classes and one was even online.

Rick Alley is by far my favorite teacher and Creative writing is my favorite class. He opens a world for you to be yourself and showcase the talents you werent aware you had. He provides constructive criticism without the judgement and really helps you become the writer you were meant to be. Take this class its 100% worth it.

Mr. Alley is one of the best professors I have ever had. He really does care about his students and you can tell. His passion for teaching is something different in a very good way. Alley knows what he's doing and can lecture very well. I highly recommend taking him!!

He's an awesome teacher! Take him if you want an A. English is not my first language and I also dont like doing essays. I thought i was gonna get a B but I got an A. He expects you to make a Journal(150-word ct.) per week, discussion boards and a total of 4 essays. No book required. You must take him! His online class is great!

Was a great teacher to start off College Comp with. Very committed to his job and was good with critiquing essay for the students to understand, would recommend anyone who is new to this college life to take his course !

Prof. Alley is the best teacher Ive ever had. Hes informed, creative, and something of a genius. Ive never respected anyones love for their art more. I wish I had more time at TCC to take more of his classes. I think hed make a lovely mentor.

Mr. Alley is one of the most laidback professors I've ever had. Whenever you have to turn in a paper, his feedback is super helpful and the best thing is that he truly cares about you. If you have questions or concerns do not hesitate to ask him. I 10/10 would recommend him.

Honestly one of the best classes, in general, to take, ESPECIALLY WITH RICK ALLEY!!!!! Loves his job up and down, and cares for the students like his own children. Easy A. You'd be stupid NOT to take this class!!!

Great prof. For an English class there's a lot of controversial matter, and feel like a psych class in a way. You write four 450-600 word essays and a business cover-letter and one group presentation. Easy A.

Mr. Alley is the coolest English teacher I've ever had. His lectures are pretty much open discussions and relaxed. Journals are the only real "classwork", but we didn't do them everyday. Also, when there is an essay due, you can email him and ask him to proof read your essay. He gives good feedback and believes in encouragement.

Rick Alley is the best English teacher! If you are taking his class get ready for a great time. He is an old soul with a hippy vibe, totally awesome! Hes so kind and understanding of everything. He reminds me of a guidance counselor almost. He loves hearing what you have to say and hes open to all types of writing! He also loves cats!!

Summer 8 week course. 3 persuasive essays, 10 journal entries with responses. No textbook, all readings were provided. Work was light, but engaging. Better feedback than most instructors. Topics were thought provoking. Highly recommended.

loved it. took online, summer 8 wk course. - no book. Lost of positive feed back. Journal entries every week only need to be 100 words + your response to another writer. 4 essays for 100 pts each, only have to be 450 words. and some reading as prompts for essays. Very light but engaging work.

Professor Alley is one of the best professors I have ever had. His lectures are extremely interesting and essay topics are thought provoking and fun to write, even if you dont particularly enjoy writing.
