Absolute idiot, reads directly from powerpoint as if he is an unprepared college student. Does not offer any extra information, power points are vague and offer zero information. Papers are ridiculously hard and tedious, he grades way too harshly for such a low-level course. And he's an idiot. Don't take this class with him, go to FSCJ instead.

You have to put A LOT of effort into all the assignments to get a good grade. He's super picky and will dock you 10 points on your essays if you don't do University of Chicago style perfectly on your essays. When it came to his feedback for assignments he came across super condescending. Don't sign up for this if you're looking for an easy A.

Super passionate about history which really made the lessons more interesting. He has so much information about each topic. It helps to go to his class, because there is so much he covers that aren't on the slides, but not mandatory. The only thing that was really difficult was so many assignments to turn in, but I would DEF take his class again!

Without a doubt the worst professor I've ever had. He accused me and other classmates of cheating on several occasions and he wouldn't respond to emails or answer calls. The work is very unclear and he's extremely particular i.e. tough grader. Exams are ridiculously stressful & papers are tedious. About 80% of my class dropped by end of semester.

Worst professor, he hates his job and takes it out on students. He will lecture from exactly the second class starts and usually will run over. No student interaction and is extremely subjective on all grading. Expects you to know way too much info for tests in which he only asks 4 questions. if you have to take him do ALL readings and study always

Horrible professor, quite possibly the worst I have EVER had. Does not clarify how he wants his papers written, his "notes" on outlines are super vague and condescending. He can't spell yet he scrutinizes every little detail on a paper. You learn NOTHING. I genuinely think this man hates his life, I would if I were him. Awful, avoid this professor.

DO NOT take this professor unless you must. He is an extremely hard grader (and I normally enjoy and excel in history classes) all tests are essay and subjective to him. Condescending and rude. Accused me of not reading a book for a paper that I read completely. Insulted my intelligence several times. Will give dirty looks if you get up in class.

Go to class & pay attention. Books that he assigns are easy to read but you must read them. Go to his office to discuss each paper before it's due and you will probably get an A. He gives you a notecard for every test. Totally not a hard class but you have to do work... not sure why you'd expect not to.

Absolutely useless teacher, reads directly from power points, a type of class where he lectures monotonously for the ENTIRE class period, and yet you learn absolutely nothing. Completely full of himself, makes you put your backpack in the front of the classroom during test like your a three year old and assigns a ludicrous amount of reading.

Professor is monotonous and very unclear. He grades harshly and apparently disagrees with everything you learn in the public education system. He does not explain what he wants in his papers, and gives a very confusing "prompt" (if you can even call it that) on blackboard. AVOID THIS CLASS.

Well worth taking. Attendance isn't mandatory, but he'll give quizzes impossible to fail every few weeks as a way to gauge attendance. Clearly interested in his subject, the essays aren't difficult, but you need to read the books. Easy A if you're willing to study a couple days in advance. He's also very down to earth and willing to help you.

He is down to earth and very helpful in office hours, also just nice to talk to. He is very into history, and enthusiastic about it. If you plagorize don't take this class! You will F!

WORST TEACHER EVER. DO NOT TAKE HIM. He grades irrationally, he mispronounces words, and you will not learn a thing. He goes over two thousand years of history in two weeks and then gives an exam. An egotistical, useless person. Unclear in what he wants in his papers, and when told he was being unclear, he agreed, but didn't change instructions.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Papers are graded harshly. Not very interested in helping students outside of class. Slow to reply to emails. Appears to have little of the materials memorized as he trips over his words when he loses his place in his notes. There is way too much material on his study guides compared to the length of the test. STAY AWAY!!!!!

STAY AWAY !! He is a good teacher and very clear, but grades really harsh. There is a lot of reading-there are 3 papers-each are about comparing two books-so 6 books, and read the text book, and keep up with the material in class. 8am class and he gives pop quizzes right at 8am which last 3 mins so they're easy to miss; he expects too much

Great professor. Explains everything in great detail, knows a lot about the topics, and is very helpful. Papers were extremely easy, so were the tests, just make sure you study. The book isn't really needed, as his powerpoints cover everything.

3 papers, 3 exams and a final. Paper topics are vague, make sure you get clarification. DON'T TAKE 8AM CLASS UNLESS YOU'RE A MORNING PERSON. I missed turning in a paper and was late to the final because it was so early. Helpful if you go to office hours. Definitely a good teacher, knows his stuff.

3 papers and 3 exams, must read 2 books to do the papers, but the paper topics are vague. However, if you go to his office hours to gain clarification, he will basically tell you what to write your paper about. Gives a list of terms and essay questions and selects from those for the exams. Grading isn't the easiest, but not terribly difficult.
