Conn is a pretty easy and care-free professor. He is really nice and his mannerisms are funny and but you're expected to kind of read a lot. He also cares a lot about participation and will try to get you to participate as much as he can.

He's pretty cool, actually. As a native, it was somewhat hard to get used to the accent, but his Spanish is good nonetheless. He sometimes skips around and doesn't get to clear conclusions, and he seems a bit all over the place, but in general I think he's ok, and it's fun how fidgety he is, haha.

I couldn't disagree more with the comments above. I thought his classes were EXCELLENT and extremely engaging. His advanced classes were fantastic. Conn sparked my interest in Latin American literature and culture and influenced my decision to study abroad in Spain. Conn is a GREAT PROFESSOR!!!

This course helped me make the decision not to be a spanish major. His accent is terrifyingly bad, and when I notice more mistakes in his sentence structure than in the students, you know something's wrong. He treated the class like we were idiots, which turned me off from answering all of his maddeningly easy questions. He paces and leaps- no good

He's a very close-talker--made me VERY uncomfortable when I went to talk to him for extra help. His class was confusing and very hard to follow. He paces continuously during lectures whihc is distracting.

Accent makes my skin crawl. Very nice man; very bad teacher. Has little sense of what the material is ACTUALLY ABOUT. Did I mention his Spanish is horrendous? He should not be allowed to teach in this language.
