Comment:

Professor Wightman is a great educator, she is really knowledgeable about the material. She assigns a lot of reading, so it would be better to take her class if you are going to make it a priority, or else it will be hard to get by. She is very helpful during office hours and is willing to help students who have trouble understanding the material.

Wightman is fantastic! She is incredibly knowledgable and presents the information very clearly and concisely. You will have to work hard though! She is very helpful and understanding, especially if you reach out to her. Get to know her, she's really quite nice!

Comment:

Intimidating at first, but a very helpful and nice teacher once you get to know her. Meet her with during her office hours and she'll grow to like you. The readings are demanding during the whole year, but make sure to do them. Do the opening paragraphs for the two papers! I can't stress that enough. Overall, a very knowledgeable, great professor.

She was the worst teacher I have ever had. If she knew anything about Latin American history (which I doubt) it certainly did not come out in her terrible lectures. Honestly, if you want to learn Latin American History skip her pointless lectures and read a book. You will learn a lot more real history,

One of the best professors at this school. She is completely dedicated to her students. Very helpful one-on-one. SOme find her intimidating, but she isnt once you get to know her. Very challenging, but it is completely worth it if youre willing to give the time and effort.
