I didn't touch the textbook even once and passed. He does prefer to teach the old school style, but it's for the better because you will form a good relationship with him. He provides you with a study guide to help you understand the materials, Overall, Dr. Shelley isone of the most culturally experienced and qualified professors I've ever met.

Dr. Shelley is a very eccentric man and it reflects in his lectures, which I liked about him. He doesn't really use technology so if you can't meet with him in person then you're out of luck. He gives like a crazy amount of extra credit on tests so as long as you attend lectures and study then you're guaranteed a good grade.

Shelley is super old school, his types all his handouts on a typewriter and copy-scans them. He doesn't use D2L at all, so if you don't come to class you won't have a clue whats going on. That being said, his class is pretty straight forward and he has funny old-world mannerisms Made a joke about cocaine on the first day of class.

Professor Shelley is an awesome choice! He's very old-schooled and classes are solely lectures. Tests are 100% based on the lectures, so GO TO CLASS. Only Grades by tests, but if you get an A average on the 4 Unit Tests, you're exempt from the Final. He also gives you the study guide for the unit test at the beginning of the unit.

He doesn't penalize you for not showing up, but you HAVE to show up to get notes. He doesn't post anything online. He types tests, study guides, and syllabus on a typewriter. You get exempted from the final if you have an A average on the 4 tests before then, but you have to work & study REALLY hard for it. Great lectures though! I learned SO much!

I'm a straight A students and I worked my ass off in this class. I studied for four days before the test and all I could get was a low B on each test. I don't get how everyone is saying this class is an easy a. It's the hardest class I've had at Kennesaw. The final is "not cumalative" but it has all material from previous two test. Textbook needed!

He's a nice guy, but this is NOT an easy class. I recommend taking an intro to georgraphy class first. Make sure to buy the textbook, do the study guide and study two weeks in advance. You will get tested on EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING. Don't listen to what other people say. This class requires you to have a lot of background knowledge.

One of the finest lecturers I've had. Makes geography fascinating and provides a lot of useful information. Hilarious! Makes you laugh all the time. Very clear about everything. Great study guide. I wish I needed more geography classes, I would definitely take him again.

Not sure if he knew how to use a computer. Everything was typed with a typewriter and nothing was posted online. Gave study guides & four equally-weighted (super long/easy) tests. If you make an A average on them, you wont have to take the final. His class was entertaining, not because of the material, but because of the way he taught. TAKE HIM!

You are graded on a few tests that are equally waited and if you get an A average on them you do not have to take the final. He is extremely quirky, he doesn't need notes while teaching and all tests are typewritten. As long as you pay attention, fill out the study guide, and study it thoroughly you should get an A.

Gives study guide on contents of each test. Very easy A! Exempts final test if you keep an A average on first 3 which is very easy as he gives 10+ points extra credit on each test. Material isn't difficult at all and his old charm makes the lectures interesting.

He is like a walking encyclopedia! Such a nice man and lectures are interesting. It's a very easy class, as long as you take notes. There are 4 exams and you can opt out of the final if you have an A. DO NOT BUY the textbook! I didn't and made over 100 on every test. Just take notes. There is TONS of extra credit on the exams.

One of the easiest classes to follow. Lots and lots of notes, but well worth showing up for class. Lots of extra credit and if you have an A you can exempt the final. If you don't show up forget making a great grade because he mentions things not in the text. Anyone can easily make an A in his class.

Easiest class in college by far. Old school lecturing style. If you have an A average for your first 4 tests he exempts you from the final. He gives several extra credit questions on all the tests which makes it easy to get A's. If you just go to class and take notes and do the study guide he gives out for the tests you will get an A. Hes funny too

Really nice professor who knows a lot about Geography. His lectures were interesting and he'd crack a few jokes here and there. You don't need to buy the book, just study the study guide and go to class. The four test were easy and if you have an A average, you don't have to take the final.

I had to miss a test and he had no problem with letting me make it up. He is extremely helpful! He tells you everything you need to know for the tests. I made over a 100 and I didn't buy the book. He gives study guides & as long as you study them you'll make an A. He gives GREAT lectures that go along with the study guides. Best professor I've had!

This class is so interesting and Shelley is an amazing professor. I got over 100 on all my tests cause of all the extra credit and didn't have to take the final. Don't get the book it's a waste, just come to class and write what he writes on the board and study his study guide. His teaching style is simple and old school. Also you'll learn so much
