Took her for intro my freshman year. She is awesome. Really interesting. Yes, she's pretty hard, but it is worth it. The readings are interesting, too. She's not an extremely hard grader. She grades tests a lot easier than papers. Tests are short essay format.

I took this course as an elective, I was a Business major and knew nothing about anthropology. I recently graduated from another university with a degree in Anth and if had not been for Dr. Smith, I would have never found my passion!!! The class was fascinating and fun, just make sure you do the readings!!!

Very enthusiastic. Very nice lady and helpful, test are challenging the pprs are pretty easy A's though. Realized how much i dissagree with most all anthopologist on various issues. And unfortunatly lost a lot of respect for ANT after learning about it

I love this woman and this class! Anthropology was a subject I would have never considered before this class now I love it. I truely feel it has impacted my life. You dont get that from many other classes. :D Great stuff. Take this one!

I became a ANT/SOC major beacuse of Jennie Smith! She changed the way I saw other cultures, and my own -very thought provoking. She likes class discussion, gives interesting projects and you will always read great books by authors from around the world.

Dr. Smith is so great. I can go to her class and feel like a person and not just a number. We have readings that are relevant to the subject with out being over 30 pages per night. Yippie for Dr. Smith!!
