Comment:
Ron is really good at what he does and he understands the material on a level that most professors can't compete with, probably because he wrote the book. While he can be a bit rude, he really just wants to create a class environment where there aren't any distractions and he does not like when people ignore things that he has said multiple times.

Comment:
Ron could be a great professor, but his curriculum is horrible. Class was POGIL-style, so I didn't really learn a lot of material correctly in lecture. You must spoonfeed everything to him on the COLs and hw to even dream of having a decent grade. As a result, I think a lot of people got the concepts but still had way lower grades than deserved.

Dr. Ron Taylor is probably the worst thing about Berry College, as far as academics go. He'll be rude if you don't understand the material, don't participate in class regularly (you should though), or just answer a question incorrectly. He'll yell at you, or have an attitude when he answers you. He has a good side, but I still don't care for him.

Honestly, this was the worst class I think I have ever taken in all my years of schooling. The man rarely teaches you at all and just puts you in groups to do long complicated packets. Also, hope you don't have any questions, because he will never directly answer you, office hours or not.. Definitively don't take if you aren't in a math heavy field

Ron is a firm believer that the lecture method of teaching doesn't work. That's an actual quote from him. Class time is spent working in small groups on packets that never get graded. You couldn't PAY me to take a course with this man again.

This class is very non-traditional, but the opportunity to take a class with the professor who wrote his own textbook is hard to pass up. Ron is caring and is on your team if you're willing to meet him halfway.

He was very rude and constantly talked down to me when I didn't understand something. I would make meetings with him, and nearly every time he would make me wait over an hour before seeing me. I ended up leaving several times. One time, someones phone went off in class and he flipped out. No one owned up, so he docked the whole classes final grade.

Ron is a very interesting, non traditional man. I had never worked harder for a grade in a course than I did for multivariable. Do the hw and quizzes or you wont pass. He allows test corrections. Be sure to communicate with him if youre having trouble whether it relates to the course or not because hes actually a pretty compassionate guy.

Ron Taylor is a hilarious and great person, but as a professor, he does not teach. Many say that they learn the most in his classes and the reason would be that he does not teach and you have to teach yourself.

Most of the teaching was dine by the textbook and he did not explain new concepts. Was very aloof during class and office hours.

Not as easy going as everyone says. He will insult your intelligence and will not be nearly as helpful as he claims he wants to be.

He can be moody and he kind of scares me sometimes. But he's actually a really awesome guy and I think I learned more in this class than any other class ever! Just be prepared to wait in the hall outside his office for a really long time if you want to make a good grade.

Ron Taylor may seem like a strange and unusual professor at first, but he is actually a pretty easy going guy that loves what he does, which his mathematics, and is why he teaches it. He is probably one of the more challenging professors you will ever have, but he is also one of the best.

I can't decide if Ron was a good professor or not. On one hand, he can be very moody, and he doesn't give anything to you easily- you have to figure it out yourself, which can take hours due to the difficulty of the course. On the other hand, he can be funny, and I did learn a LOT!!

Amazing during lecture and thats about the only positive thing i have to say about him. Extremely demanding on homework, quizes, and tests. his homework may take 1-4 hours depending on the material, and thats on a good day.Oh and his office hours might as well be negligible unless you have a precise knowledge of what you DONT know.he doesnt reteach

He was an extremely hard teacher to keep up with. He also did not help when you e-mailed or asked him for help. He acted as though you should already know the material before you take the class. Granted I took him for multivariable, he may be easier for lower level classes but i doubt it.

In his Nature of Mathematics class, Ron will blow your mind. You learn how to levitate, regenerate body parts and read minds. Okay, maybe that's fabrication; nevertheless, he's an excellent teacher and really goes in depth during class. There was never a dull moment!

He can be a little intimidating at first, but once you actually start to interact with him, you'll realize he is quite an interesting man. You'll do much better in his class if you ask him questions by going to his office.

Dr. Taylor is wonderful, at the beginning of the semester I thought he was rude but it's just his sense of humor. He is really helpful outside of class and will go out of his way to help you. He knows what he is doing, and his tests are generally easy if you do the homework. Worksheets are kind of annoying though.
