To get a B at minimum you need to review each section 2-3 times before every test. memorize all the structures and different pathways (he says not to, you need to to pass). Exams 1 and 3 somewhat hard, exam 2 is brutal, nearly failed it. Ask TA questions. If you choose online you can go at your own pace, don't fall behind though.

As I look back on my academic career, I find that one teacher in particular, Brosemar, sticks out for being AN ENTIRELY NEXT LEVEL OF BAD. My advisor warned me that he was hard, but what was that!!!

Hands down the worst teacher I have ever had in my entire life. Monotone, and he is a grade killer. DO NOT take his class if you do not have to.

He really does teach very well and his lectures are very clear and he knows the information on them very well. If you focus on his practice quizzes and study guide/practice exam you'll be just fine. He wants you to get a real understanding of the material and not just memorize terms and reactions. Take the time to ACTUALLY learn it.

The material's about the usual level of difficultly for an upper-level chem class, but the entire grade is just the 3 exams. So make sure you know your stuff.

He's really condescending. I was in the 9:10 lecture and would fall asleep due to his monotone voice. The 1st day of class he said he would not teach us biochemistry and damn was he right. I learned nothing from him everything I learnt was from Youtube and my TA. Worst professor I've ever had!

One of the worst teachers Ive ever had. Condescending and unhelpful when you meet with him to ask questions. Talk to your TAs

Class is based on 3 exams, 25 question each for 1.5 hrs. No textbook. He been teaching for a long time and is quite good, however his lectures are really boring. But still attending lecture is better/ more efficient than listening to him online. Study through his practice quiz and study guide and you are golden. P.S 1 note card allowed for exam.

Only guy for Mbios303. He been teaching for decades, he literally has his lecture memorize, word for word, same jokes every year! Your grade is 3 exam, with 25 q's each for 1.5 hour. 1 notecard for exam (new). Recitation really helps and the TAs are life savers. Lectures can be used as sleeping aid, use his slides if u want, but lecture is better.

As long as you are self-motivated & can pace yourself through the lectures, you should take the online version of the class! You get to choose when you take the 3 exams, so you can make the class your speed (you can finish the class whenever you want). Take good notes, listen to every lecture, & THOROUGHLY review the study guides. Flashcards help!

Go to recitation & teach yourself from his narrated power points. Lecture is a waste of time. No textbook. Your grade is only 3 multiple choice exams, 25 Q's each, no extra credit opportunities. Final isn't cumulative. Warning: He makes a LOT of mouth/tongue noises and inhales loudly for those who have a hard time tolerating those sounds.

Overall, it's a fine class. I can't stress enough the importance of the tests because that's all you're going to be graded on. Study, go to class, study some more, go to recitation, study, and repeat. If you follow that guideline, you should be ok.

This class is not as horrible as you'd think. Yes, the lectures are dry. Yes, he posts the lectures with narrations. But it would take more time to watch the lectures on your own than to actually GO to class, so I wouldn't recommend skipping. The exams can be difficult, but the study guides are thorough. This class isn't bad if you stay caught up.

I went to the first three classes & then realized it was a waste of time. He posts powerpoints with narrations so just study those a week before the exams. His lectures are dry and boring but you just have to endure it, unfortunately. First and third tests are easy, the second one is really hard. Only 25 questions per test so little room for error.

Your whole grade is based off of 75 multiple choice questions. That's it, and he isn't helpful at all.

I thought his lectures were very interesting and to the point. to get the grade i did in this course i attended lectures, reviewed my notes, and studied for about 2 hours a week outside of class, and never even knew what the cover of the textbook looked like. I would definitely recommend taking Dr. Brosemer.

His lectures are boring and he repeates himself A LOT, But he puts audio narrated slides online so attendance isn't a big deal and you can go at your own pace. study guides are pretty helpful and if you pay attention enough to know the material super well, exams are ok but there are few questions and they're all hard ones so its tough to do well.

If you can pace yourself and are willing to work, then his classes are tough, but fair. In addition, if you have a question, check the notes first. Then Google it. I found 90% of the time the answer to my question was somewhere else in the lecture or in the attached notes.

You need to listen to the lectures and actually process what he is saying. You will not succeed in his class, if you are distracted, while studying his Powerpoints. He encourages us to think, make sure we understand, and to ask questions. Be careful and make sure he has not answered your question in the lectures or elsewhere. Tough, but fair.

Bout to get an A in 303 and I don't even know what Dr. Brosemer looks like. Just spend the last 2-3 days before an exam to study the powerpoints. Exams aren't cumulative.
