Comment:

Dr. Heim got his PhD at Cornell, this man is a genius. He is getting very old and his health is becoming a factor. He is very funny and has a great sense of humor. HE teaches through the book, but he knows everything off of the top of his head. Some people might not like it because he makes you engage in conversation, but it helps alot. Great Guy!

I agree that he is in his own world, but that actually worked to my advantage. I think he's really sarcastic and funny. I don't know about him for business but he's good for CORE because he doesn't take it as seriously as some of the others. As long as you make an attempt he's good about grading.

Heim is good professor for CORE 1. He understood that this was a difficult class for freshman, so he accepted some late work. Also, he made funny sarcastic comments when I was in the class. However, he needs to respond to emails a little more promptly. Overall, consider taking his classes.

Really crazy - this guy is a freak...he's by far the worst I've experienced at FDU (and that is saying a lot!) There's no book, no structure, and class is a rambling mess - no need to be there except it's mandatory. Bring your laptop so you can at least get something else done. I catch up on work in class...beats banging my head on the wall!

Seriously, this guy shouldn't be teaching. I'm sitting here in class now and if my belt was long enough I'd be searching for a way to hang myself. He starts at 9 and we're out at 2 (Sat). Seems like the grading should be easy, but I'm not sure yet. Goes through three or four chapters in an hour and asks if he is going to fast...ya think?

If you can correctly identify a problem statement, you can do well in this course. Notes that he put together were a road map for the project. Be sure to know your stats/quant stuff before getting involved, as the course is based heavily on that material. Dr. Heim is a good guy - no nonsense and straight forward. Mkt Research was a great class.

Has a good sense of humor. He bangs his hands on the desk too much. Pretty lenient in terms of grading. Class only meets in person half the time, the other time is online. Confusing lectures and material is excruciatingly dry and tough. If it weren't for his easy grading, I'd rip him a new one on here. So beware when taking one of his courses!
