As an international student, I think he is too "nice". He was a little afraid of pointing out the erroers and wasted a lot of time to explain some simple questions. but overall,he is a good teacher to work with.

Sam is a very nice guy, and this course is quite frankly a piece of cake. He is a very easy grader on all the assignments, and you have more than enough time to do each. The final covers the entire semester, but if you don't have a high enough grade by then that your final actually matters you haven't even tried.

I thought he was a very good professor. He was very laid back.. and was an easy grader. He gives a lot of quizzes but they are pretty simple because they are right from the notes. I would def. recommend him.

This was an interesting class, the information about language acquisition is fasinating and Sam knows what he is talking about. The homework is not bad at all and he is a fair grader. I would recommend taking this class. However, this semester we did not have a midterm but a final over all the chapters, what fun!

He's okay. His quizzes are pretty hard. He gives dumb homework, but is a very easy grader when it comes to the HW. Don't count on class ever being cancelled. He always shows up and apologizes if he's even one minute late.

gives difficult homework. once counted students absent for waiting 20 minutes past when class was supposed to start becuase of a bomb threat. seems like he would be a nice guy outside of class, but runs the room like a prison.
