Took her Cross culture com. class she is a clear example of someone who does too much. her lectures were all over the place, did not come prepare for class, when ask if she would provide a study guide she said 'be prepared to be tested on everything youve learned so far' which translates into 'I have no idea whats on the test yet.' easy class

Best Teacher I have ever had. I've taken 3 different classed from her. Attendance is important because there are in class activities for a grade. Homework was reasonableness and she gives you a change to correct it. If you do the work the class will be very easy for you.

Comment:

Dove's Cross Cultural class is extremely useful but be prepared to write and work in this class. She expects a lot from her students which in turn makes you want to work harder in the class. You'll get what you put into it. I would recommend her.

Sarah Dove was originally an elementary school teacher, which is still reflected in her teaching style. Her classroom activities are precisely planned, there is lots of group work and her grading is extremely detailed and nearly instantaneous. Regular attendance is essential because there is material presented in class not found in the texts.

Pros: She is knowledgeable about the course work. She communicates well. The class is pretty easy. Cons: She is for the most part unprofessional. Uses her husband as a substitute teacher (who contradicts what she says). She treats students like children with pop quizzes and non-helpful criticism on papers.

Great professor, she makes class interesting. Group activities are substantial in class so attendance is a must. Tests are multiple choice, and essay not bad if you study out of the book. She's not that helpful when you go for help, but the book is usually enough. Definitely would take another class with her.

Sarah was a great teacher with a lot of experience. She was very knowledgeable about the topics and have a lot of personal experiences that went along with the topics at hand. The tests are not too bad... if you study the lecture notes and do what is on the study guide... you should be okay. Good teacher and interesting classes.
