Comment:

This class isn't hard if you are halfway decent with excel or have any problem solving skills. Homework is done in groups, I STRONGLY recommend networking early to find other competent students to pair up with for the homework. Otherwise, you will have to carry dead-weight around with you for the rest of the semester. Exams are hard, but fair.

By far the best teacher I have had at ASU, has the experience and industry insight to guide you in you in your future career. She's lecture are very clearly and understandable. She's very patient to help you to solve your problem. Go and taking her class, you will learn a lot.

Comment:

Professor Mohan is very knowledgable and experienced. The course content is tough but she does a great job explaining it. You will be graded on in class sessions, homework once a week and a quiz bi-weekly a midterm and a final. If you dont focus in class you will not pass. Finally, IF YOU DONT FOCUS IN CLASS YOU WONT PASS :)

Group projects are a huge part of this class. However, do not expect Mohan to mediate any group member discrepancies (i.e., one person doing all the homework.) Choose your partners carefully.

Comment:

The most valuable aspects of this course are the excel-model tutorials Mohan does in class. This is what students are tested on and replication is hard to find anywhere else. However, she goes quickly through the tutorials. Also, its hard to understand her. She gets frustrated if students ask questions.

She is impatient and dismissive. We were expected to accommodate and be flexible regarding her mistakes, but she does she does not return the courtesy. We changed classrooms three times. None of our classrooms had computers despite it being a computer based course. Her accent makes it difficult to understand lectures. Lacks leadership skills.

If you ask her stupid questions, which you don't understand, she will look you down. If she thinks your questions are stupid, she won't reply your email. She is even impatient during her office hour.

Comment:

The final exam is 40% of the grade and is significantly more difficult than anything covered in the class. Painfully slow lectures. Doesn't walk through any problems, and leaves it to the students to teach themselves how to set up problems. She managed to take an interesting subject and ruin it with poor teaching and an error-ridden text-book.

Dr. Mohan is very helpful outside the class. She literally will tell you the answers if you go to her office hours. Lots of homework but if you do them final and mid -term is pretty easy. She also curves a lot!

The class is tuff but she does everything she can to help you succeed. She will even rely to emails at 10pm especially if there is an exam the next day.

Content is a little tricky but Mohan really wants you to understand. Very helpful in class and in office hours. Attendance is curtail understanding the material and for participation points.

Comment:

She is an overall good professor and I wouldn't discourage anyone from taking her class. She is pretty understanding and fair to students. I had her class once a week which posed a lot of difficulties, but overall the material was not hard and the tests were not overly challenging.

Comment:

I had zero interest in supply chain mgmt going into this class, but Ms. Mohan made it very interesting and tied it to concepts I had learned in other classes which made a difficult class easier. Attendance is mandatory (HW or graded in class work or a test is due almost every class), so you can't skip class in favor of book reading as I like to do.

Most ridiculous class I've ever taken. Mohan essentially spent THREE HOURS each class time reading the book to us. She spent apx 20 minutes going over equations and math (the actually important stuff). This made tests extraordinarily difficult. This would be the last prof I would EVER recommend to another Barrett student.

She is an awesome professor! I would highly recommend her. She isn't hard to understand at all and she does teach very well. I haven't really used the book because I go to every lecture. Her lectures are interesting and will keep you interested. It is only hard if you don't like doing math.

Dr. Mohan was not THAT difficuult to understand. Go to class, her power points and book does not actually show you how to do the problems - her lectures do. Also, you get 1 full page front and back for a cheat sheet, it helps. Her tests are exactly like the homework and in class. If you put a little effort in the class, you can get an A like me.

Dr. Mohan is not hard. She gives you second chances on homework to get more points. You can have a front and back page of cheat sheet notes for all tests. Put formulas and an example and you'll be fine. Just do the work, it isn't a lot!

Dr Mohan is a great professor. This class is hard. Pay attention. Do not miss a class. The tests will throw you for a loop. She will never cancel a class because if she is sick, her husband will sub in. He is also a great professor.
