Dr. E is one of the most inspirational professors I have had. I have been in choirs quite a bit over the years and Dr. E is one of the nicest and most understanding directors I have ever had! He always takes the time to send me an email back to say "I hope you get better" when I'm out sick and say "Good Luck" before a performance. Highly recommend!

Comment:

Dr E is amazing, every second in his ensemble is a joyous one. Yes the music is a little difficult but it is college level music. Being in his ensemble has taught me to sight read better and sing a lot more accurately. Dr E has so many colleagues in so many countries who adore him and its not hard to see why. He's such a nice guy.

By far one of the best professors at GMU. He's so caring and kind to his students. Myself and a few friends have gone to him with concerns and he always addresses those concerns immediately and goes the extra mile to make everyone feel welcomed and safe in his choir. I plan to take his choir until I graduate because he is simply the best.

Comment:

A true musician, good conductor, and sweet man. Always helpful and understanding. And, as a strong conductor is always able to do, can make just about any choir create music within minutes.

Dr. E is passionate about music and about everyone exploring their full potential. If he is a bit rushed at times, it is only because there is so much more than can be done if people try to keep up. He sees how magnificent all of his groups could be and does anything he can to push them to excel. The groups are only limited by their own members.

The class is fun, but I am not a big fan of Dr.E. He has favorites and those he does not like he can be really hard on. But don't let that stop you from considering soundcheque b/c the music we do is fun and it is a great ensemble to be aparto of. Personality aside Dr.E is a good director to work with. I may not like him too much, but I respect him

Doc is awesome. He is one of those musical genius types and therefore kinda scatterbrained. He knows what he is doing and expects you to also. He is pretty easy and i don't think he plays favorites at all. He isn't great with attendance, but his interns are and they know when you aren't there. He is a great conductor and a great guy.

A good guy who needs a break! :-) He is one of those artistic genius people who just expects his choir to come in knowing all the music and working on a high level. Not as tolerent of fixing notes or working mistakes over and over. As for conducting, Maiello is more like...well...militaristic, but gets the job done. Doc does have favorites.

Dr. E is just a really sweet guy. He's got a lot of stuff going on, but is very willing to help people outside of class. Virtually no homework, but you need to know what you're doing. He's not so good about taking attendace, but Im pretty sure he knows when you're not there.

Dr. E is a very good conductor, I'll admit that, but in his class, he definitely has favorites. He goes very easy on them, but is picky with those who are not his favorites. I hardly have to work, unless I want to be at least a decent conductor. Take w/Maiello to become a good conductor.
