This teacher is ridiculous. She does not explain anything well, and is very picky about stupid stuff. However, if you take your paper to the writing center, she'll automatically give you a little bit of a better grade, just for utilizing the center. The quizzes aren't bad if u do the reading. She will make time for u if you act very interested

Comment:

Dr. Johnson takes a bit of getting used to, and sometimes her class was frustrating, but I actually did learn a good bit. There are homework checks that help to fluff your grade, and she's not too hard of a grader. However, I feel that our class time could have been better utilized with actual instruction instead of almost all peer review.

She's a useless teacher. Nice lady outside of the classroom, but once you get in class, it's terrible. Scatterbrained, doesn't know how to teach,rarely gives an accurate syllabus. Don't take her unless you have to.

I am in her english 101 class right now and she is one of the most useless teachers I've ever had. She is not helpful when you go to see her and going to the writing center doesn't appear to help either; people have still gotten failing grades after being told they had good papers. AVOID HER IF YOU CAN!

She is awful. She does not know how to talk to people, nor does she know how to teach. Her class isn't English...it's Science and Religion! A purely useless class. If you're not all into Jesus or Science...don't take this class.

I really enjoyed Dr. Johnson's Intro to Linguistics course. I fell in love with the material and she taught me things I never knew about. I understand how this course could be boring to some but I loved it!

If Dr. Johnson could articulate better, her class would be more understandable. But if you read the text and take notes on everything she says (vs only what she writes on the board), then you should do fine. He review sheets are very clear re: tests.
