This class is SO helpful to prepare you for your future after University. It's very likely the mos important course I took during my time at Uvic. Dr. Martin is helpful and available when you need extra help. He answers any questions you may have and is very easy to talk to. He even agreed to be my reference for future career opportunities!

very hard but interesting course, took way more time to study for this course than other ones. learned way more in the labs than in the lectures....would not recommend him for a first year class.

woot woot! Amazing teacher! SOO funy and knows everything about anything. Makes class interesting by relating to the class/his kids! Knowledge is sexy!

What a useless teacher. Arrogant, confrontational. Has his moments, but generally uninterested in anything but himself. Heard the stories all once before. Too bad he is going to be in charge of the new UVic med school...new students beware!

Ask him explicitly about everything, he is very vague. He is pretty funny, and can be a good resource if you go out of your way to get information from him. Otherwise, he is pretty invisible.
