Comment:

Tina is overall a lovely teacher. She is also the engineering advisor, and is in charge of the NERD girls program. I really enjoyed her class, even though I felt like her grading could be harsh at times. She really cares about her students though, and 104 was really fun!

TINA IS AMAZING! I have her for ENGR 113, and just WOW. She goes around class every day after the homework is due and tells each student what to work on, one-on-one. Her passion for the engineering field really shows! I'm lucky enough to get to take her all next year for my MECHE sequence but if u have the chance take her!

Comment:

Tina is very helpful and answers every question that is asked. She is detailed as she prepares you for the industry. She knows her work, and what she is looking for. ENGR in general requires participation, therefore, attendance is required. Know the rubrics, ask questions for clarification, turn in work on time- no late work allowed. Good class!

Tina Barsotti is someone I look up to. She's the only reason why I went into engineering. She loves what she does and it shows. Her classes are tough because she is trying to prep you for industry. She's insanely intelligent. She even has a couple of patents. She constantly motivates me. I would not be where I'm at in my education without he

This class was disappointing. Intro to ENGR104. Tina Barsotti is not a good professor in the least bit. I would study for hours and craft perfect answers on exams and get B at most. She simply will not give you what you deserve. She does not communicate properly assignments or test dates. Whole class is memorizing algorithms to problem solve.

(did the hybrid class, highly recommended) My favorite engineering instructor! She definitely makes you work for everything you do. 6 homework problems a week. Her exams are like a 9/10 difficulty and are more a test of speed than knowledge but if you show correct processes you get most of the credit even if you get the answer wrong

Tina is a great teacher, but she's very tough. She goes strictly by the guidelines of engineering, so make sure you're very specific and your work is easy to follow with every assignment. Her tests are not too difficult, but will require studying. As a person, she's kind and a lot of fun. You'll see her serious moments if you're a bad student.

ENGR 113 class being 2 credits, I was expecting just a bit more work than usual for a quarter, but it was a error. Tina's quizzes are not always very well written, and some problems are very difficult to make any sense of, if it's possible at all. The workload is immense for a 2 credit class. It is very difficult while taking other classes.

She will grade you like you are an actual engineer so be prepared to do top tier work or you wont get a good grade. And spoiler alert, the class is Engineering Design, as in how to design a write up and lab reports.

The class itself was pretty cool. But Tina makes this class much harder than it should be, she's a really picky grader, so be sure you understand her expectations for assignments and labs. Exams are open book, but the book is hardly much help. Her study guides for exams only cover maybe half of what's actually on the test, so study hard!

Took her for Engineering Sketching and was pretty overwhelmed with the amount of work! The assignments aren't hard, just very long. She is a fairly hard grader, but annotates where she took off each little point, so you know where to improve. Quizzes are annoying and occasionally misleading. Older edition of the text was allowed, saving me $100

With good note taking this class is easy. She does PowerPoint so you can download and take notes on your tablet. Exams are open book or 1 page of notes. Have plenty of Engineering paper because everything is done on it. Looking forward to the other ENGR classes she teaches as well.

Tina is a good instructor, this was a 2 credit, fast paced course with an hour lab where you could work on the material. Other students and Tina are very helpful when you ask. It's a tough course in that requires time and attention to detail. The material itself isn't too bad, just requires students to spend time on it to succeed

You'd think a "Science of Sci-Fi" class would be fun and easy. Well if that's your expectation DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS. Way too much math at a crazy pace, and there was never enough time for tests, requires engineering format and marks 0 when when not in format.. this is not an engr class.. Labs were way to much trouble than they were worth too..
