Prof. Patton cares, she really does - but I didn't learn much at all. Course was so scattered, we sat in breakout rooms for long periods of time to discuss very little, whole-class discussions went off-topic every time. I didn't learn the content. Vicky is awesome and truly cares about her students! Her class is very easy, honestly just show up and you'll be fine, textbook isn't needed because notes are very informative! Super easy grader, loves to learn about you! She's so funny as well and keeps you engaged! She wants you to succeed!

Vicky is the most laid back professor you will ever meet. She is sometimes unorganized but that is her only flaw. She talks a lot and loves her students dearly. She is hilarious and great, take her if you can!!

Vicky is very sweet and understanding, but also unorganized. She understands that life happens and will give you extra time when needed. If you do the few assignments, you will basically get an A. She does pass around a sign in sheet, but I don't think she actually puts it in the computer because I missed several classes and still received an A.

Only prerequisite for this class is EGP209 and a lot of patience. Vicky is unorganized, but she's a lovely person, absolutely hilarious, and very relaxed and flexible. Easy A, tests are EASY PEASY, assignments are too. Would highly recommend her, just be prepared to spend the first 15 minutes of class waiting for her to figure out her computer.

This prof is the ish! She gets really off track and rambles, but she is too sweet for you to care. She is a very easy grader! Show up and you will pass. Her tests are soooo easy too. Just listen during the reviews. She is hilarious, fun, and entertaining. Do not be afraid to talk to her, she will help you with anything. TAKE HER IF YOU CAN!!

Her class is wonderful!!! Some material is hard to understand, but ask questions & she'll help you out! Her tests are very easy and helps you prepare for them! She really cares about all her students in general and would do anything to help them do well in her class. Have taken her for EGP209 and 210 and would gladly take her again! Love vicky!!

Dr. Patton makes class interesting by relating some of her life experiences, from Australia, into the class. She knows what she is talking about and is very helpful in providing the exact material needed for all tests and quizzes. She breaks up her lectures with videos and class activities. Cannot wait to have her in future classes.

Vicky is hilarious. She relates all topics to her own life as a mom. Pretty easy assignments that are not time consuming. Extremely open to suggestion. Flexible dead lines. Easy online tests. I would love to take her class again! Favorite teacher.

Vicky is truly a doll. She is one of the sweetest professors I have met at WCU. She truly cares about her students, and will go great lengths to prove it. She is a little disorganized, and most of the content is common sense. However, I definitely recommend taking EGP402 with Vicky. She made it fun, effective, and memorable.

Vicki Patton is a SAINT! Shes an awesome professor. She really knows her stuff and loves helping us learn how to be good teachers. Her class hasn't ever been boring. The students teach the chapters by making up power points and then she gives more info on the lesson. She is very witty and makes the class super enjoyable. TAKE HER!

Teacher was very kind and understanding. The class is a joke. There is no point in going. She does not follow the syllabus at all and lets you hand in work whenever you want. If you have an excuse, you can miss class. Uts a shame because she is a great person, boring teacher.

Dr. Patton is laid-back, but great. I feel you learn a lot from her. She teaches you the things you will deal with in your classrooms, but may not know how to handle (i.e. importance of grouping, cooperative learning, etc.) Two small tests, lots of writing (writing emphasis course), but I learned many "tricks of the trade".

I'll have to agree with the comment about being scattered. She really is! I didn't learn much in her class and was disappointed by the too-relaxed approach. No tests, some field observation, little reading, a couple of quickie presentations. Abandoned the syllabus halfway through.
