Comment:

His lectures are hard to follow because you never know if he is talking about something thats going to be on the test or just his general opinion. He stands in front of the class and goes on and on lecturing. No references on canvas so go to class. 12 page paper, one midterm, one final, 30 minute presentation, and takes attendance occasionally.

Comment:

Don't do it. He can't stop talking about his illogical opinions long enough to teach. It's hard to differentiate when he's talking from opinion (which have little basis in fact, and are just from news stories) and when he's actually saying something you need to know for the test. This class attracts certain students that speak out similarly.

Terrible! This guy was rude, yelled at students in class and spent most of class time pushing his own conservative agenda instead of talking about the material he was supposed to be presenting. He was lazy about getting back to students. He was hard to get in contact with outside of class. Almost never on campus unless during class time.

Vince is an interesting teacher, nice guy and has good stores about his time. But class is very boring. Nothing he talks about is on the test. 1 midterm, 1 group presentation, 1 paper (12 pages), and a take home final. Very easy class, but very boring.

Not many assignments are given so not many points can be earned. Easy grader. Lectures are very interesting. Great teacher! Just attend class and you'll pass. Don't buy any of the books because he never uses them.

He is an alright professor, he is funny and he cares for his students but he just assigns way to many things. He never talks about what is due, he just tells you in the beginning of the semester that you will have papers due but never goes in depth about any of them. He is alright but I would never take him again.

This was my least favorite class of the semester. The lectures are long and sleepy, but if you missed lecture there was no other way of getting the information. Had us get 2 small books, but only used them a max of 4 times total throughout the semester for short papers. Offers a lot of extra credit and final was an essay. Felt more like a gov class

Awesome teacher. Ex-Lobbyist, so he knows the ropes of government. Even if you're not into politics, he makes it interesting enough to catch your attention for the class period.

Lectures every class period without a powerpoint so you really have to listen. Loved the subject and his experiences in lobbying helped with my understanding. The lectures can get a little boring because it's the same thing every day, but I definitely recommend going because you really learn a lot. Midterm, group project, one paper, and final.

Awesome Teacher!! He really cares about his students and is very encouraging. The expectations were clearly communicated and he graded fairly. This guy knows what he's talking about and his class fully prepared me for the California History portion of the CSET.

Latino is an awesome teacher!! I recommend this class to anyone!! He may digress often, but its always interesting and relevant. You can tell he knows what he is talking about. He is opionated, but doesnt force his ides on you. The tests are fairly easy if you go to class and pay attention. 12 page paper required. Take this class/teacher!

Do not take this class if you are not a Gov major. This is a mandatory class and he treats it like there are Gov majors only who know what the hell he is talking about. Most exciting class for me this semester. He teaches at his own pace and isn't afraid to ditch his lecture to discuss related current events. Conservative minded which is a nice change. Midterm, group presentation, research paper, final. Book(s) can be borrowed from library. Enjoy.

Loved this class! It was way more interesting than I thought it would be. He lets you know his opinions on certain subjects, but is open to debate. Very knowledgable. Very easy grader. Mid-term, final, group project and research paper. Also takes role occasionally, gives participation points. Some extra credit.

great teacher. . offers a ton of extra credit .However i noticed that you must participate. he is big on discussion and it reflects in your exams if you dont. I dont state my opinon much at all but i felt i had a lot of info in my exams but still didnt do as well as others who are always giving feedback. .but i'd reccomend taking him.

I thought govt. would be the hardest most boring class but he was SO awesome. He made lectures fun, relaxed and interesting. VERY easy.. he has 2 exams and the final is take home! he grades fairly easy, and the text books are hardly ever used. unless its to study. offers tons of EC but u really dont need it. very awesome personality 2! very funny!

Prof Latino is a dynamic instructor. He knows his stuff and does an excellent job getting you to think outside the box. Hee ncourages you to challenge the status qou and be politically active. Just keep up with the readings and show up to class and you'll be fine. I would definately take another class from him.

I thought I would hate the class, but it was extremely interesting. You learn the basics of government without him trying to push his own personal opinions onto you. He doesn't care about your political affiliation, just as long as your an active citizen. He opens the beginning of class with discussions about current events. His tests are not bad if you take good notes and study them. Great guy and professor!
